  1. Maybe a change to the thread title to Cynthia Cattle Drive, KY? Git along little dogies!
  2. Its a short somewhere. I would start by carefully inspecting the wires for evidence of a bare wire touching either a metal area or another wire. It could also be a faulty switch. Chasing electrical issues is never fun but on old cars its usually necessary. Good luck!
  3. Either intake leak between the water jackets and the intake ports or a head gasket leak between the water jackets and cylinder. Easy fix since the vehicle is still running but you will likely have to clean all that milk out somewhere.
  4. it's all about the livestock... you know. Horsepower!
  5. I discovered a sway bar link completely missing last year before the EM during my pre trip inspection. Weird how those things just happen all of a sudden.
  6. If anyone is interested they can contact me via pm
  7. Yeah, that is a members car. I have seen it and worked on it even. He just posted a thread asking what we thought it might be worth
  8. finally got my room booked. Just FYI, the blocked QN/QN suites are gone
  9. Nobody mentioned The French Connection?
  10. Most important thing right there
  11. I have worked on this car and it is very nice indeed. No idea what it would be worth however.
  12. Second on the 160 degree thermostat. I just burp the system and don't drill the hole however. Either way is perfectly acceptable though. Other cars I have a hole drilled in the flange and it works well.
  13. You can certainly call Summit and they will answer your questions about the extended ears. Could be a variation depending on application.
  14. Ditto, now that I got the bigger cup at the EM as a door prize.
  15. Not all heavily modified cars look better than those with mods and are closer to stock in appearance. I have seen some butt ugly mods over the years and I know I am not alone thinking that. Its isn't about not walking around, looking at cars, talking to folks and selecting the best ones. Its about having to make difficult decisions because, lets face it, we have many, many, many outstanding cars in this club. After a night of bench racing my head hurts already. Compared to the bench racing, the events and destinations, the interactions with club members, the awards dinners and dinners in general with the club, the meeting new people and spending time with old friends we have made, the judging is the most difficult part.
  16. You didn't address what needed to be changed. Is the goal to hand out more awards to members? Make the judging easier? (more time intensive) Not following the rationale behind adding a class, especially as the judging part is my least favorite (and most stressful) activity of the meets.
  17. If it ain't broke don't fix it. What is broken? Talking to folks as they are doing the judging, that is the hardest part of the whole meet experience. Adding a class, in my opinion, just adds to the already difficult job of selecting the best of a great group of cars. This past EM there were only 3 cars in the modified class as stated on the window placards. It would make more sense to me to break down the huge group of cars in the stock class into at least one more sub-category as the stock class seems to have the majority of cars. Are we looking to give out more awards to more members? Is that the goal? Just curious. I have to admit that when doing my "judging" sheet and being unable to ascertain a clear winner in the various categories a lot of time my final decision comes down to who hasn't won before, or who is a new member. One more "unwritten criteria" I draw from while filling out my form. I know, not hardcore judging but most times its quite difficult to select one car that is head and shoulders above the others enough that the category is clearly won. (does that make sense?) To answer Mark, the safety modifications are things like aftermarket shoulder seatbelts and headlights that are brighter than stock incandescent bulbs.
  18. I am scratching my head at the pic of the jumper wire used to replace the faulty run. If you have it down to that point why didn't the person just swap the printed circuit board while they had it apart?
  19. I know from experience that Old Air Products stand behind their products. I wouldn't buy from anyone else. Not that other companies don't as well, but I have nothing but positive interactions with OAP.
  20. unless i am mistaken the water from the cowl area is supposed to drain from the lowest part of the fender. The drain channel may be clogged as well if none of the water came out there as well as the floorboard.
  21. Those pics are from the Rattlesnake Run. Randy, Paul and I participated and drove the trail through Daniel Boone National Forrest to Cumberland Falls.
