  1. Cory Mohlman, his screen name is CKZ03. I think one or two others are also doing this but I can't remember who. rob
  2. The most visible difference is the front, top of the fender where it attaches to the radiator support. This would be just under the hood at the front when the hood is closed. The metal portion that attaches to the radiator support on a 70 this area is flat but a 71/72 this area dips down and then comes back up. Attached is a picture of an NOS 70 fender. This would be the passenger side fender rob
  3. You really didn't need to remove the chrome piece to do this. The rubber pieces can be replaced without removing the chrome. Glad it worked out for you and the dish soap worked well. rob
  4. Dan is right, you can get the screw in pics for the trim. I also like the contrasting color look on the Monte. If you don't want the vinyl but like the contrasting color you always have the option of going with an original style two tone paint scene. Mine is an original two-tone painted car and unless people look closely they think mine has a vinyl top rob
  5. Thanks to Paul for posting these 1971 Monte diagrams. Diagrams for the wiring diagrams are a much requested item. I have also post the 1970 diagrams. If someone has copies of the 72 diagrams and wants to post them in a separate post I will Pin them so they are also maintained at the top of this Forum or if you want to email them to me I will post them and Pin them. rob
  6. Lutty's Chevy Warehouse has the chrome pieces for $69 for the pair and the rubber Seals for $19 for the pair. If you are just replacing the rubber Seals, once you remove the old ones and have the channel cleaned out, coat the channel and the portion of the rubber seal that goes into the channel with Dawn Dish Soap and this will make them slide in much easier. rob
  7. Usually the rubber and the chrome pieces are sold separately. Also they are usually sold as a pair, not individually so you may want to check that listing again. rob
  8. Dave is rarely here on the site. I suggest you email Dave directly to ask him the availability. rob
  9. I have added Matt's pictures to his earlier post. Thanks to Matt for this tip because this is a part many here have looked for and/or attempted to reproduce.. rob
  10. When I do it they will be thumbnails that expand when clicked on. rob
  11. Email the pictures to me at rob29ford@aol.come and I will post them for you. rob
  12. Do you have any pictures of where on the F150 the piece comes from an early your newly made piece converted to fit? rob
  13. I thought Kevin Wiles did it on his Coke Machine replica but I just pulled up a video of it and did not see it. rob

  16. Sorry I can't help you but just wanted to chime in with how fantastic it looks and compliment you on your progress!!!! Now, I don't want to rush you but the factory could take a frame like that and turn it into a complete sellable car in a day. No pressure. rob
  17. But when can we expect to see him as a member? Capri would have shown her stalker abilities by swimming out and giving them a club business card, did you?..... On another note. We were at a birthday party and across the alley there was a car under a car cover. I told my son it was a first gen Monte under that car cover. He said "how can you tell". I told him that I knew by the way the cover hugged the rear fender extensions. Awhile later the owner came out and my son asked him what year Monte was under the cover and he replied 1970 and asked how we knew it was a Monte and my son told him what I had said.... He was impressed. I have been able to do that more than once. (And yes, I have informed them of the club. rob
  18. Never heard of that either. rob
