  1. Non-ethanol fuel at the local gas stations IS unleaded gas. So, ethanol or not, it's still going to be unleaded. Good luck trying to find leaded fuel anywhere, at least easily. Especially with the majority of vehicles on the road having EFI. Leaded fuel will ruin an oxygen sensor, an essential part of a computer controlled fuel system. Lead was used to raise the octane & lubricate the valve seats. Most people just use hardened valve seats when rebuilding cylinder heads now, or they'll already be installed if buying new heads. It all comes back to how much octane do you need to keep from knocking under load.
  2. I'm not liking that club so far, AT ALL!
  3. Willie, this is what Mark posted: Hello and welcome. I'm not aware of anyone currently for sale, but I believe there is a company in Germany that sells American muscle cars from time to time. Good Luck. In my case, even though I lived in Italy for a couple of years thanks to Uncle Sam, I never picked up the language with any great proficiency. I could order food, drinks & swear pretty good though 😁. 'Google Translate' does the trick here though, a lot more accurate than I would be able to do on my own.
  4. Depends if your engine needs the higher octane or not. I asked my tuner that question years ago when we modded the ZR1. His answer was as expected, octane requirement was more important than non-eth fuel. This was from a guy who does dyno runs every day and sees the effect of octane on engine performance, timing retard, etc. The highest non-eth we have around here is 90 nowadays, but Sunoco Ultra 93 (10% eth) is still available. I use the 93 in all the cars with no issues. I do use the non-eth in all the small engines though (lawn mower, snow blower, generators, weed whacker, etc).
  5. Call 'brakeboosters.com", Mike Gibbons. They rebuild GM boosters, etc. Did one for me, real nice work. They may have what you need, or can steer you in a direction. https://www.brakeboosters.com/ (805) 441-5390
  6. I'm thinking he's looking for vehicles in Italy, Tom.
  7. Hello Simone, welcome to the club. I took the liberty of translating your post: Hi everyone, I'm new to the club. I'm looking for a 69 70 71 chevrolet monte carlo, chevelle, malibu with Italian plates at reasonable prices, does anyone know one?
  8. Very sorry for your loss. If you have any pictures and a location, that may help you move the car out quicker. If you need help posting pictures, you can message me & I'll help get them posted. Joe T
  9. Did you bump your head again?
  10. And you wonder why the "Trouble Maker' tag got added to your profile....
  11. That's great news! I was contacted by some of the people I know down there, they were mostly OK as well.
  12. PCV crankcase breather filter. I used to clean them with carb cleaner years ago if they weren't too bad, but that one looks a little well worn. AC Delco FB59 will do what you need. Cross that number to any other brand if you want. https://www.amazon.com/ACDelco-FB59-Professional-Crankcase-Breather/dp/B000C9SKFQ
  13. Same here, spoke to a few of them the last couple of days. This looks like it's going to be a real bad one. Good luck, stay safe, and hoping for the best for everyone.
  14. First step in one of those things. These jobs may lead you to AA at any rate.
  15. Having the dimensions is a good thing Doug. The one's from AMK above would be too short then. Plus I just went out in the shop to see in person, sure enough, they'd be too short. Thanks! (I was hoping a nominal 2" OD hose x 3.14 would be close, but no luck in reality).
  16. This one from AMK may work, but they would want a $30 minimum order. If someone is ordering something from them, maybe adding this to the order as a test to see if they fit may be a good thing. Looks similar to the ones in the links above, but length is a big factor. Description says 6.69" overall length. https://www.amkproducts.com/bulk-fasteners-products/?Product_ID=13201

    New Guy Here

Thanks Paul. Unfortunately, those are 2 1/2" inlet/outlet, and about 34 years old, lol. I even tried to get replacements from Thrush in that size, and they weren't anywhere close to the inside dimension as the originals. According to online reviews, The Dynomax Turbo muffler gets louder as the weeks pass by, probably the internal glass matting going away. That may make them more like the original mufflers, as time goes by.

Thanks Tom! I got lucky years ago when I found it, the RS with the hideaway lights was just an added bonus.

    New Guy Here

More mufflers, 😁 First is the Flowmaster Super 44's and the Dynomax Turbos that I opened up inside. (both tested earlier) https://1drv.ms/v/s!Akx6H-ABrxUb82UOBG7ocWk5Q54_?e=MDgbDF Next is the Flowmaster Super 40 Delta flows (supposed to be quieter than 44's), and the Holley Aero-Chambers that just arrived yesterday/today. Those Holley's are stupid heavy & also physically larger than everything else too. https://1drv.ms/v/s!Akx6H-ABrxUb82Zaoj1myRPkvSIk?e=0AnvNR Last is the old Thrush 2.5" Turbos that were on the car originally. I took them out of the attic, pulled them from the pipes and made adapters to slip them on the 3" pipes. Truth be told, I still like these the best. https://1drv.ms/v/s!Akx6H-ABrxUb82hd_1cPLGCBh6Ix?e=dWkH5Z A few buddies will be over later to hear them in person. Probably a toss up between the Dynomax Turbos & the newer Flowmaster 40 Deltas.
  20. Yeah, do it before drinking 3 cups of coffee 😁
