They should scan thru the boards and find many many interesting things about their cars... as far as stalking another Monte, owner to be a club member ? Well, if that’s what it takes😂...

Big show in boonesboro Ky this past weekend, 900 registered cars. No, I didn’t win as didn’t any other Monte there , of any generation.😡. Regardless, had a great 👍🏻 time . 3 day event . Hey Rob , I won a 118 piece socket set on the raffle. You know what I’m talking about . also, 4 other 1st generation Mounties there. Got all there names and a couple photos of their cars. Gave them FGMCC cards and told them how to join club. Couple I think will follow thru. somernites cruise trip in two weeks for me and the 71.. it’s a fun time !.. first Monte picture is owned by James wagoner 72 model nice car! second is Ben Sharp with his white 70,402.. third Monte picture is Bob New Jersey Eiser . Red Monte says 496 on the breather. 😱.. No pictures of the fourth Monte but his name is Gregory?. Just bought a 70 - 350… Hope to see these guys in somerset in May. They were invited…PS need more cards …

I was running service calls for Sears early that morning, heard the announcement on the radio. Couldn’t believe what I heard.. such a sad day, and full of heroes and people coming together... I for one ,will never forget! so sorry for all those families. 🇺🇸

I also like the muscle look Larry , but these I appreciate as well. I have a picture of a 71 coming down the assembly line with this size whites but it has regular rims. But to me at least, the whites look pretty good on the rally’s too. Ron...

You can still get the thin red line tires, but they were way over my head in price...could not find the thinner whites... but these are thinner than most

So before this years 2022 meet in Carlisle, I bought tires for the original Monte rally wheels but had not the time to change them out from American racer wheels on the car. yesterday I decided that it will go to somernights cruis in two weeks looking more original. And I must say I like the look. could this be a return from modified to street,or maybe even original someday??? Who knows? Only time will tell. 😃

Update on the ford 4600, wasn’t good news afterall. After further review of the cylinders and pistons, two of the three pistons had cracked or broken rings , one of those having the ring lip between the rings broken. I have finally removed the complete engine from the tractor and disassembled down to just the block. It is now in the machine shop. When repaired I shall reinstall crank, bearings, seals , cam , new pistons, rings and so forth. The will install sleeves in the cylinders to return it to standard size pistons.. the crank bearings and rod bearings will probably have to be larger.. pictures included ..

Somernights cruise is fantastic, Friday night is cruise night at the somerset mall, the main cruise downtown is Saturday, also the usually have a cruise trip on Thursday’s or fridays . After Saturdays downtown cruise most classics cruise the main 4 lane with hundred of people watching in lawn chairs along the road . I will be going in two week to the somernights cruise . I can put in a word to them if you like . also, bowling green is great too, but I haven’t been there in a few years so can’t elaborate much on it but it sounds good too..Ron..

Replaced mine on jack stands no problem.. except the yoke did have a grove ,as mentioned by these other guys.. thanks Dennis , wish I had known about the special seal earlier... would have done that ...

Your welcome joe, I might add, the 3/4 day trip on Thursday of that week to the lake included a stop at-a nice steakhouse style restaurant.. Im sure it will be a good meet in Bristol if that’s where he decides to have it .. He did a good job of setting things up in 2021 as well as Rob did-in 2022 Carlisle.. see ya there . .Ron..

Hi Joe, 2021 fgmcc meet in Bristol consisted of about 3 days.. it was a good trip , a Chevy car show over the hill from Bristol drag strip and beside the oval track.. first day was scenic touring around the area with a stop at a beautiful lake.. I think Jared is one of the coordinators working on the 2023 meet and as of yet there is no definitive news from him on this ,that I have heard... last i spoke with him, in Carlisle, he may have been setting things up for a different car show in that area... I’m sure he will update us as soon as he knows.. I am interested as well... Ron....

Thanks for the events link. My observation is that the photographer is young and wants a fiero or Camaro. Maybe a vet. Not much appreciation for the classics evidently. I saw 3 group pictures of first gens at the beginning . The lone red Monte at the beginning was for sale in the back lot . 19,900. If I remember right. Had a 402 .. and a couple pics of dashes out of first gens for sale with the burlwood design. Not a whole lot of recognition as far as I’m concerned.. maybe next time .. if they get a better photographer.. Ron..
