Steve i think thats pretty cool. Kevin i think any of the big suppliers carry them. I just picked one up for my car at Carlisle because i was having a problem also because my car is a 72 and came with the jack cover and then i put a piece of material under that not to scratch up the trunk. I got it from Ausley's they happened to be the only vender there because of the virus.

Even the NOS stuff needed a quick polish when i was ready to put it on. Steve that looks like a good piece to practice on. With a little more elbow grease and some paint you will have a great piece.

Joe mine is the same. Doesn't state the year for 71, 72 only 70. However yours is in much better shape than mine. Before i blasted it i couldn't even read it. LOL

As you know my Custom is stock and i would like to keep it that way if possible. I had someone look at it and he said it was the pinion. Said he couldnt get what i have "stock" so i will have to put something else in. I am not sure what to do, so i am asking you guys. I would like to keep the housing as it is original to the car. The mechanic says the housing is fine. So i just need the pinion and gears. Its a 3:31 posi. On the other hand i have a 12 bolt rear in "stock" (LOL) should i buy a set of gears and install in the in "stock" rear and then install that set of gears in my cars rear? Maybe someone has a set of stock gears they are willing to sell? All info welcome Tkx Willie
