  1. CK you know I'll be there but as you know I don't need a room, always look forward to this show.
  2. Mark the show is 19-20-21 Thursday is arrival day for a lot of people. The show on Sunday only runs to about 2 or 3 , awards presentation start at around 1- 1:30. most of the guys head out Sunday morning for their drive home. General attendance on Sunday is usually less than Friday and Saturday. Sometimes we stay on Sunday and sometimes we Leave Sunday, it depends on how the weekend has been. Me and my brother camp there so we go in on Wednesday to the camping area. Please feel free to ask anything I'm the local guy for this show, I've been to every one of them.
  3. I have always used the autolite 26 regular plugs in my car with few problems other than one fouling out ( which isn't the plugs fault) I see they offer a platinum plug now, is there any advantage to using platinum plugs other than they last longer? They aren't that much more expensive.
  4. Oh yea one more from the show, 62 impala conv 409 4 speed I fell in love with this car a long time ago.

    Oil

I've never bought that much that I need to worry about that. From what I've seen as long as it's unopened 5 to 7 years. After it's opened use asap
  6. 2 car shows today, one this morning was good. The one tonight I didn't stay so long were more tuners than classic to much loud thumping music for me. 4 members there with cars Tom, Steve, Bob and me.
  7. Went to local cruise in tonight Bob was there too. Met another guy who has a 72 but not with him tonight, of course I told him about club he knows of us and has been on site but hasn't joined yet but probably will. Was nice. No pictures really couldn't walk around.
  8. I looked at mine tonight as I was dusting it off a little, mine don't hit there at all.
  9. Exactly what Dennis said, I bought mine 15ish years ago for $4500.00 and was a driver when I bought it. But I have put a lot into it since then because it needed it but still doesn't need a full restoration. I think it's worth a little more now 😀
  10. that is one dirty but very nice car, or at least will be, nice fined Good luck with it. Lots of great people and knowledge here dont be afraid to ask questions and we do love pictures too.
  11. Usually can with no trouble but synthetic oil will find any oil leaks you have much easier then conventional oil. It don't cause Leak but it will find them.
  12. Willie the back is a little better but still a long way to go, couldn't walk around much luckily the porta potty was near by lol. There was at least 4 first gens there Bob stopped by my car for a visit and Tom and his wife stopped by too. I looked near the other one as I was leaving but no one there or I would have stopped. But overall at least I got out to a show and put well over 100 miles on tge car in the last couple days.
  13. Went to 7 Valley Street rods show today, really couldn't walk around much. I did see another 71 as I was pulling in. Pretty good turn out probably 500 or so cars I was down at the end of one section there were 2 other sections all were full. Not a bad show at all. Lot of nice cars wish I could have walked around more.
  14. Yes I belive Dan Janes makes them his screen name is overdrive he has an ad in for sale section for his Tru slap shifter plates also.
  15. That's a lot of work there, great idea to reclaim the sand that can add up fast.
  16. I just went for about a 95 mile ride in the Monte, needed to clear my head, didn't help much but I did get a nice ride in my car 😀
  17. Way to much technology for me, I get confused on a 10 speed 🤣
  18. Thought about putting an aftermarket back up camera on my truck but I'm getting pretty good at backing up and hooking up alone so I guess I'll pass for now anyhow.
