I have 255/50/17 on my 72 and no fitment problems at all

POR15 is very thin and if you have evena pin hole it will drip thru and cause a huge mess, also don't let it dry on your body parts it take weeks for it to wear off cause after itdries it is a permanent tint until it wears away/off

I took my 72 to an alignment shop where the guy knew old cars and could set it up accordingly. These kids today have no idea on how to set up our cars correctly. I used thee dealership I sworked at part time and They did a decent job until I got Bruce to look atit. he said it was close but after he adjusted it it was perfect

Yes G78's were the original size except when you ordered 7" wheels and then you got G70's because I ordered 7" wheels on my non SS 70 and that was the option for 7" wheels. Ron if you go to Tirerack.com I think they have a conversion chart but I cannot remember for sure. That is where I looked for wheels for my 72 and they were able to bring up a red car and then I could change wheels to decide what I thought looked best.

So glad you did not break it Ron. I have not punished/pushed my 72 yet afraid I will break something. I did have a 68 Nova that had a 325 horse 327. It would go sideways in third gear and I only got 8800 miles out ot the factory original tires LOL.

The heavy dity springs and air shocks can gicve you a stiffer ride. I eliminated my air shocks and went with Aior Ride 1000 kit. It puts an air bag inside the spring and you can adjust the ride with air preasure just as you can with the air shocks but the ride is much smoother on my 72 with the basgs versus the shocks
