Robert
Taking the body off. Have all but 2 mounts out. How do I get the 2 under the brackets that go from floor to side wall out. Bolts just spin. I know there's spot welds and lap welds that I've got to cut out. Is there more I'm missing. Thanks everyone Robert
cny first gen 71
Not really sure which 2 you mean but probably have cage nuts on them. If they broke the cage they will just spin. You'll have to cut above it if you can't get access to the nut to put a wrench on it.
Brew
Too late for Robert I fear … but may I add…Don’t use impact drivers on them.
Robert
Here are two pics of what I am talking about. Body mount is located just behind door opening. I'm removing entire floor & bracing, so brackets need to come out. Thanks for the help. 20211006_182657.heic 20211006_182427.heic

LostnFound
Only make three cuts and not four so you can pry it open like a flap for access. When you're done, bend the flap closed and weld it shut
Robert
Thank you Larry. Once I've got the body off I'll be replacing the floor and floor braces. Do I not need to remove the brackets to get the floor replaced.
LostnFound
I'm not sure about that Robert. I've never installed a whole one piece floor with braces.
LostnFound
I would try leaving them attached first and see if you can fit the floor pan in place. Does your floor pan have the area for under the rear seat too?
Robert
It's a complete floor. The floor in the car has major patches in it,with seven holes. The front floor brace is gone and the rear is well on it's way. Going to take your advise to cut and peel the brackets. Once the body's off I'll come up with a plan to remove the brackets
Robert
Well I've cut the brackets, the floor and broke the bolts. Body is now separated from frame. Replacing the frame because it's broken, pictures included.

Robert
Evening everyone I think the frame has been cracked for a few years. With all the black tar, undercoating, oil and dirt no one could see the crack. It wasn't till march of 2020 when I was really going over the car to make my plan for building it that I found the crack. Got the new frame from Leo (Koniks Klassics).
