If you haven't seen these:

My roommate did the two 2-Door Chevelle wagons briefly in Photoshop:

Someone on the Chevy Talk Forum found this REAL built 2-door Chevelle wagon:

You can see more on this link:

I just finished up with the creations. What do you think?

I love the pics of the Monte that Wallaby (Mark Andrus) sent me because in the reflection you can see his car of what the picture originally was.

I used the roof and rear window from pictures of a '70 Wagon that a gentleman named Steve sent me from a Chevelle Forum.

The Wagon Monte:

The Lowered Wagon Monte:

I thought maybe the car would look better using the B-pillar and quarter-style glass/trim to match the contour of the back glass.

The Wagon Monte with Chevelle Wagon B-Pillar:

And lastly, the Lowered Wagon Monte with Chevelle B-Pillar:

Thanks to those who sent me pictures including those I used - Steve and Mark!

Now I need the money to build it! lol

I like the first one of the 4...but I would need to see it from all angles to determine if I truly think it would look good as a real car.

All hail the photoshop KING!!!

That is awesome work, you can hardly tell, and if you weren't looking for it you wouldn't be able to tell!

Very cool, thanks for posting it!

I was hoping that you would use the reflection to show the "before" version. If this were a Chevrolet ad it would have a caption like: "size of a wagon, drives like a coupe".

or..."you don't have to look far to see the family resemblance".

or:.."Dr.Jekyl IS Mr. Hyde".

Nice job with the photoshop.

Now all you need to do is tint those back windows and install a roof rack. Maybe you could find a donor from an Olds vista cruiser for those neat upper glass roof panels....

,,,but then it would look kinda strange on a 2-door car. I guess it's like trying to find the convertible top that GM built that looks best with the Montes' lines. The solution might not be Chevrolet.

Standing ovation for the photoshop!

Thanks! Yes, someone else on another forum said the same thing about grafting the Olds or Buick roof on. That would be neat too! If I get some time, I'll give her a try. I'm glad you like the reflection too, I thought that was pretty neat as well! Thanks again Wallaby!

lol okay I'm not some 'pro' photoshopper! I would need a picture of a wagon on the same angle of that car. Wallaby's pic was great because it had a uniform blue background (sky) and the Chevelle wagon pic was just about on the same angle and very similar blue colors. I can lower or chop it if you like! lol sorry

i have a real heart for station wagons. some of you already know it but i have a station wagon that never left the factory that way. a 69 deville, it was a factory authorized conversion sold new at a cadillac dealership as a station wagon back in 69. the price was over $10,000. that computes out to about 80,000 in todays money i believe. night

Wow! Kevin that is very cool. I did some research to find some of these Caddy wagons before. Check out this site: http://www.cadillacstationwagon.com/

And here is a gallery of just about all station wagons ever produced with at least one picture of each: http://www.stationwagon.com/gallery/gallery.html

I LOVE wagons as well and actually got this idea from a drawing by Steve Stanford in Hot Rod Magazine several issues back. You can find that here:

Hmmm...I actually kinda like that. Very cool! Not too fond of the Chevelle pillars, but I like these lines wink.

At the stationwagon site I saw wagons that they did build that sorta looked strange. The Olds Cutlass wagon for example.

I think that what you have done gives us a good idea of how it would have looked if GM had built it in '71.

...and the artists' drawing shows how a customizer might create one today. I was looking for different rooflines and found the artists' inspiration, I think....in the form of either the 1999 or the 2004 Nomad concept. check it out:
