  1. Nice! I like the wheels, the color and the stance.
  2. Nice! Now to spread some rubber.
  3. Another piece of advice.. If you don't already know. Use the proper cupped fender washers, cause the ordinary flat washers have a tendency to cut into the plastic.
  4. You're right there isn't much room on the driver's side to begin with, using the Kenwood speakers you posted with the huge magnet I'm sure posses more of a difficulty. Were you looking for a 2-Way Coaxial Speaker in the way of a better sounding speaker? I have experienced similar issues and just modified the existing brackets, although the tight fit also posed a problem with the dash pad.
  5. WOW! I can't believe no one took on the challenge. John, I'll try and be brief.. it takes a bit of practice. First and foremost you have to have a picture (file) accessible either here on our gallery or from a picture host like, Flickr, Instagram, Photobucket, or others like that. Once you have a link to a file or so. Go onto your profile click onto the drop-down menu and choose "MY SETTINGS" on the left there you will see..."SIGNATURE" once you open that install your picture link there. Let's see if you get that far if you can't make it happen ask away.. and we will help you from there.
  6. I suspect a heater core as well? That's providing your windshield is sealed and not leaking there. Although a heater core leak has signs of rust or mucky water, and certainly carpet discoloration. Although hard rain, cracked windows= wet carpet.
  7. Just in Case Auveco AUV-AP2595 Tubular Nuts, 0.12 In. Stud Size
  8. Front marker lights nor rear are suppose to flash. Hence marker not signal! As far as I know they're are not wired to flash in the wiring diagram.
  9. SBC MOPAR BLUE! I love it!!
  10. A remake of the old part # is still available thru G.M. and other parts carriers.. on Eckler's check the application, and it can be gotten cheaper thru gmparts direct with the part# below. 14101104 - TUBEhttp://www.gmpartsdirect.com/results.cfm http://www.elcaminostore.com/1983+gmc+caballero/el-camino-pcv-pipe-for-4-barrel-carburetor-1970-1987.html#null
  11. Our cars originally came with an Incandescent "6012 Sealed Beam or a "60/50W" PAR56 12.8V 3 PRONG headlamp. Soon after in the late 70's or early 80's the lamp manufacturers introduced the "6014" which covered a broader field of car makes. Today we have at our disposal an abundance of sealed beam and or headlight conversions for the 7 in. Dia. round lamp. Not only in brighter but of many color spectrum's. To include Halogen sealed beams and replacement European style Hella assemblies and their "H" style lamps, also the new LED White lamps on the market as well as the matrix projector style, and the all popular HID conversions. The problem with some of the conversions that I have seen is the amount of heat generated in the rear of the lamp (the stock) socket and fusing itself to the lamp prongs. Also with the added wattage for instance a 60 - 140 watt H4 hella style lamp generate a lot of heat, and that added wattage not good for the original wires common to our cars. I have had good results with the H6024..unless you're looking for mega brightness.
  12. Yes in fact a map light.. I have a picture of the map light under the mirror and if you look closely you can see the grey wire.
  13. Impressive showing....Aaron, thanks for putting it together & posting it for those of us that missed out. I missed yet another. Cars looked fabulous, the weather in Penticton looked as gorgeous as I remember it. Maybe next time...
  14. Dennis, Great photo journal and how to link. A great tool for even the most seasoned veteran. THE STEP BY STEP.. HIGHLY DETAILED. Lots of info there.. thanks for posting that for us to follow along.
  15. Classic! Probably more BS than anything!
  16. Will this Help? http://www.buickperformanceclub.com/discbrak.htm
  17. Replace bearings for sure.. Ditto on the peace of mind as well! Nothing sucks greater than having to do it all over again. Well besides the snowball effect.
  18. Please say it isn't so. Though keeping 400 grilles could be a challenge. Hope they find a good place other than the scrap yard.
  19. Beautiful! That whole car is an impressive build. Thanks for the update. Will it ever be done?
  20. Hello Joerg, I was noticing that your taillights are somewhat differently wired. Is that because you made them that way or is that an European thing?
  21. I've done it to my daily driver and my black Monte and both run way cooler. Specially in the black one when the A/c is running and idling.
  22. You guys look great, the car speaks for itself. I am so jealous and look forward to perhaps a future meet. Enjoy guys! Greetings from Janet & I, sorry we couldn't make it for this one either.
  23. There are a few radiator shops still left out here in California that will still perform that kind of work. I had my three core turned into a four core and had a larger xmsn cooler tank installed in it for pennies. I didn't know it was possible either, till I watched him (radiator guy) simply spread the tanks apart and just solder the stuff back together. It looked simple enough with all the right tools, it cost me $60.00 to turn it into a dessert cooler.
  24. Have you tried.. radiator express? I believe Modine still makes the identical radiator. In a three & four row... Copper/Brass 3-4 Row 28 x 17 link. linky
