  1. All Canadian built SS documentation says the same thing, yet only a few had the dual sport mirror. This Monte is a one owner never painted original. Never had the pass side sport mirror
  2. haha, Doug I agree with you, too funny
  3. Good to see your giving the old girl some loving Steve, its what she needed. Glad that you have her now. Triple Blue, nice combo
  4. Willie, my understanding is that the L on the body tag on a Kansas car indicated Big Block, but not necessarily an SS. Is that what you are finding on the other site.

  7. Superb attention to detail Joe, car is looking awesome!!
  8. I have used Gardner on 4 different Monte restorations and the fit is perfect. Might be a little more expensive, but you know what your going to get. A perfect factory reproduction with zero hassles
  9. Looks great Doug, very good idea
  10. I have only seen metal finish. sandblasted mine then used a clear coat. Holds up well
  11. Very talented members at the FGMCC, look at those beautiful interiors

Joe, wow amazing restoration!!! Life has not allowed me much time on the site the last couple of years, but I just read all 6 pages of your rebuild. Once completed, you are going to have one beautiful Monte. Keep the pictures coming
  15. Great info everyone. Thanks for the part numbers Dan
  16. I had my 1971 350 4 speed (no power steering) at the Western Meet in Grass valley, CA. The cruise had lots of hills. Mark was behind me during the cruise, I had to tell him to stay way back at the stop signs that are on a incline.😅
  17. #1- 1971 402 4 speed. #2 - 1970 402 4 speed #3 -any 70/71 small block 4 speed, just because you can never have enough 4 speeds, lol #4 -1972 W code custom
  18. Good to see you back Andy
  19. Watched some of the Royal Albert Hall show on TV. Amazing guitar player!!! He was on an episode of AmeriCarna with Ray Evernham. They built Joe a car, he gave to his parents as a gift. He then played a solo in Rick Hendrick's car museum. Cool stuff
  20. Travel safe everyone!! Sounds like perfect weather
  21. Cruising the Bay in Big Fork, Montana. Smaller show, around 400 cars. Friday night gathering and BBQ at local car museum with live bands etc. Saturday cruise is excellent, a complete loop around Flathead Lake, with stops at wineries etc. Sunday is the car show. Loved this show for all the reasons Matt mentioned. Its on the Sept long weekend. The hotel we stayed at was a lot like the Rosedale at the peach show. Great scenery, cruised through the Glacier National Park. Cruise to the top of the "going to the Sun" road is a must. This road is only open in the summer and not for the faint of heart. Liked it so much we are booked in again for this year. I am happy to go Penticton again, but also would like to try some different shows, my 2 cents, well its Canadian money so more like 1 cent worth. lol
