  1. Hey Paul, is there one on the opposite side as well ? My best guess would be that they are just holes for alternate types of brackets, etc, depending on what the intake was used for and options on different vehicles. Remember, Chev 350's (or any small block configuration) went into so many cars and trucks that they were drilled to fit everything.
  2. Check with Jared.... If his stash hasn't been depleted yet.
  3. They always look so much nicer with a fresh coat of paint. Did your Dad find any coupons for paint in those papers ???? Every penny helps.
  4. The '72 hood spear has a flat face at the front,(thanks to you guys for pointing that out.) Almost big enough to put an emblem in ??
  5. I would think that soaking the foam backing in warm water would cause it to break down..... Or expand uncontrollably. Remember, it's been compressed for 50 years, so it's just waiting to go crazy.
  6. Something with a non corrosive oil should work..... Baby oil seems to be a popular choice.
  7. I believe the hood spear is a '70.... Didn't the '71 have the gun sight ???
  8. With conversions and exchange rates, that works out to about $1.65/liter Can. That's pretty cheap these days..... ;(
  9. But dose the actual "script" only come in white ??? Or is the green script available ?
  10. Early Birds out of the Toronto area can get them for you. He carries (and orders from) almost everything Parts Place carries.
  11. Montelishi's First cruise gathering !!! Over 200 cars at a local mall, but she was the only one of her kind.
  12. Pretty much all mouldings are manufactured at one place these days..... A little thinner than original. Have you checked with Jared to see what he's got ?
  13. That's a lot of newspaper !!! Hope you read the "funnies" first..... lol
  14. To small for a Lincoln...... Maybe a Ford Fairmont ??
  15. Does Retro Sound carry them with the green lettering for '70 models as well ?
  16. Just curious, but does the smell seem to be coming from the exhaust pipes ?? If so, it could just be in need of a tune up. And keep in mind, with higher temps this summer, gas will find ways to escape anywhere.
  17. Exactly.... Once you pull the heads, then there's rockers, rods and lifters to look at....... Then comes the cam. At that point, you might as well go all in and strip it down to the block and refresh everything.
  18. Just keep in mind that the factory alignment specs are for "factory original" tires.... using a wide tire will have some variances.
  19. Is that why the wife keeps you in the garage and only lets you out on weekends ???
  20. Something else to make note of..... Not sure if anyone else found this, but when I went from the 8.2" 10 bolt to a 12 bolt, the upper control arms spread due to the larger differential case. Because of this, the exhaust had to be "shifted" to clear the arms. Something I didn't notice until the car was back on the ground. 😒 P.S..... the B.O.P. internals are all different as well.
  21. Old blower motor ?? Sometimes they just move as well as when they were young.
