  1. I put a SS emblem on the grill of my 72 (back in 1984) from a 67 Chevelle. That one looks huge, mine is maybe 3/4 the size.

Howdy Rob. Man that is a lot of car issues and CarMax doesn't sound as good as they make it out to be. Anyways welcome back.
  3. I think one of those snobs was in our hotel parking lot, lol.
  4. Hey, how did that black Corvette in the upper right corner sneak in that parking lot? 😀
  5. Went there yesterday, there was a 72 Monte all the way on the other side from those two. Very crowded, traffic line to even get into the IX Center was insane. Still worth it and we had a good time.
  6. I am no expert in adjusting the hood but if the wiper blade arm is up on the windshield does the hood then lay flat in it's normal position? If so then it has something to do with the wiper arm.
  7. All I saw was a Monte being driven hard in every shot, thought it was gonna hit that dumpster but just hit the garbage bags instead...finally he parks it and I thought all the abuse was over then he runs and slides across the hood like one of the Duke boys...maybe I am getting old, lol.
  8. Just got back from the Auto Show in Cleveland, they had two new Z06's on display with no price. Sign says they run 10.6 in the 1/4 mile 😎
  9. I am not sure what the icons actually mean but someone will eventually explain. I know new formats have come into play and I have been a member even longer and have well over 20,000 posts and it recently had me at a newbie status, lol.
  10. Welcome aboard. Should be able to do donuts like the others have said. Also should be able to perform the famous straight line "one wheel peel", lol.
  11. I will add to the 32psi responses as that is what I run mine at.
  12. I would say mid 80's I put Delta 88 springs and air shocks that I got from my cousin's junkyard in the back of my Monte which raised it up above my 28" tall tires. Now I went a different route in the front and installed Moroso hi lift drag springs (bright yellow). It sat kinda like a 4x4...rode extremely stiff, lol
  13. Very very cool, I have seen it in person. For me...I would not want it so it has no value, lol.
  14. Looks like the weather is holding out and it is a nice day. Unfortunately I am not able to make it there today. Hope it is a good turn out there.
  15. I did not know your project Monte was not drivable and only that far along. Mine is drivable but needs a full restoration on the exterior. I have a feeling mine will never be done. I still have my nitrous kit in the original boxes sitting on a shelf for about 12 years now. All said and done I will never get rid of my Monte and I do enjoy it even though it is not so pretty to look at, lol. I also have been spending my Monte money on doing alot more 4 wheeling.
  16. I gotta admit I have fallen into the same thing you have gotten into. I have always had bikes and have 4 of them now including another Harley. When I bought my Ultra in 2018 I pretty much stopped driving my Monte to only a few times a year. Even joined a MC. Here's some of us from the club taken a couple weeks ago in New York.
  17. I have it on my calendar and will try and make it there.
  18. And then walk or stumble back to your room safely without having to drive, lol.
  19. I will try and make, got to get my car out more. You mention 1 to 4, flyer actually says 1 to 4:30...longer the better 😀

  21. I have around 520HP at the flywheel. Had no problem holding the brake and doing a burnout at the track. On the street with street tires no need for the brakes just give it a little gas and the tires go up in smoke. 4:11 gears help too, lol.
  22. I agree my stock set up works great. I have a set of performance pads on the front but that's it. A couple years ago I had to slam on my brakes when someone pulled out in front of me...thought for sure I was gonna hit them but my Monte stopped with room to spare. I was actually impressed.
