  1. I would love to, but it’s not looking like I’ll have any free time. We fly in late Friday night, celebrate my sister in law’s 50th birthday Saturday, spend the day wife my wife’s cousin Sunday, and fly home Monday. Makes me tired just typing it, LOL! If I find a minute I’ll let you know. If not this trip, maybe another time. We come up once or twice a year.
  2. LOL! I have two grandkids, but I’ll take as many more as I can get! I do need the plates.
  3. We had three First Gens at a local car show today. We just needed a 71!
  4. Thanks Willie! I’ll be up your way in three weeks. Going to visit my brother in law in Huntington.
  5. Beautiful! Glad you had an opportunity to get her out and spend time with the grandkids.
  6. My 71 was my first car. Owned it for 43 years now.
  7. Welcome! Good luck and please post pictures when you find it!
  8. Welcome! Great looking collection 👍
  9. Welcome Jim! My 71 was my first car, still have it 43 years later. Good luck with your search!
  10. Many nice cars turned out today. Just a few pictured here. Mine was the only First Generation Monte.
  11. Aaron, where did you find your rear floor mats?
  12. She’s a beauty! Love the color combination with the vinyl top.
  13. Thanks! This is my first vinyl top car, but I really like the combo as well. I don’t think this is the Denver, NC car you mentioned. I have owned this car for 4 years. I believe it’s been in the Raleigh, NC area at least from the late 1990’s to early 2000’s
  14. Nice! Those guys are getting it done! Looks great! 👍
  15. A 76 or 77 was what I really wanted when I was 16, but I couldn’t afford a new car so I settled for the 71. I paid $1,425 for it and my dad loaned me $300 so I could buy it.
  16. Welcome Bob! I’ll never forget my first drive in my blue 71 after putting a big block in it and that in the late 80’s!
  17. It must have been hard no being able to drive it all those years. Ironically, my dad had a 67 Chevrolet pickup when I turned 16 and that’s what I drove for 6 or 7 months until I bought my first car, a 71 Monte Carlo. That was 43 years ago and I still have it. She’s my next project.
  18. Wow! Looks like you have multiple projects in the works! 70 is my favorite year for the Chevelle. How long have you had the Chevelle and what are your plans for it?
  19. Great pictures! Thanks for sharing.
  20. Our temperature dropped into the 20’s last night in NC, but at least we don’t have snow and salt. I feel for you guys up north!
  21. Welcome and good luck with your search. Keep us posted. Good to see another NC member. It looks like you’re a little over an hour from me.
