Congratulations on your recent purchase !!! That is a fantastic way to invest in your future. I for one have been quite fortunate in the rental industry. I never really made anything working a public job. Only through investments and quite a few rentals (residential and commercial) You can still collect rent long after health conditions could prevent you from physically working. Work hard for a few years, invest and retire !!

If I'm not mistaken, the clips are spring loaded. By pressing down on the top of the molding it should release from the bottom, then raise up and remove the molding. The clips will still be attached to the body, now the clips can be removed without damaging the molding

A real pet peev for me is to see an LS engine in a classic car, and for some reason they leave the Corvette engine cover on it. Can't help but laugh... almost had me believing that Chevy Citation was a Vette. LOL.

Please post that picture . That would be a first for me, however that really doesn't mean alot. I had thought that the 71 hood had an extra hole for the spear, if that is correct you very well may have a 71 hood as well. Also which deck-lid badge did they use?

He has saved a lot of the members here some serious CASH !!! Compare prices. Unless you are going for a hood or frame, shipping is never an issue. Shop your resources before you throw your money away.

I have had mine since Dec 2,1978. This Dec. Will be 40 years My dad bought it new for my brother.

He said that he cut out the center pieces and stated that the strips came off of a Chevelle.

Went to a local car show today and was overwhelmed by 3 First Gens. Of course the beautiful green 454ss belonging to Bob Lyman (lastss) was on display and was breathtaking to say the least. His brother had his orange 72 parked beside of Bob, a very nice car as well. Then I met another gentleman with his version of a genuine 72 454ss Monte. He tried his best sales pitch to convince me that it was a special ordered Factory 72 SS, However I found it to be a beautiful car!!

Today I had the honor of seeing our April Monte of the Month, and the men behind it. Today at a car show my wife and I spotted not 1 but 2 First Gen SS454 Cars. As I had the pleasure of meeting the owners, I realized what and who I was talking to. Steve Redmyer. He had brought his beautiful SS454, He had driven 650 miles to be here with his true friend Doug Byrd. Now, talk about drulling... Wow what a beautiful car he has, His car was so very deserving of our MONTE OF THE MONTH !!! What a great day, to see such fine cars, and meet such great people!!
