  1. Nice to have a spare frame ready and waiting. Great progress.
  2. Yes, driving in I was asked if it was a 70, and heard another guy say to his buddy, that's a Monte Carlo SS. My wife doesn't like the attention, she gets embarrassed, I told her it's the car not us!
  3. Thanks guys, it was a muddy mess but they kept me high and dry. I really got a kick out of watching people pointing to the air ride compressor and trying to figure what it was for. It was fun, can't wait to go to another.
  4. JB Weld is what I used, All the big box stores stock it..good luck
  5. I have never heard that they made a SS with a four speed. If she had the build sheet , I would love to see a copy. Was she interested in selling?
  6. Very nice progress, looking good...
  7. I would love to make both meets next year. We'll have to see how the year goes. Thanks for the kind words
  8. I took my car to my first car show, alot of rain last night so the show field was a bit soggy. They parked me in the corner but at least I didn't get stuck as many cars did. My wife and I met my son and his wife at near by bar for lunch. It has the only 1st Gen Monte at the show. It was a great day.
  9. I tried to look it up in my parts catalog and they no longer have a listing for the bucket so I can't help
  10. Like the shop and the other pieces of the collection...very nice.
  11. Good to see it back on the road again. I have the same feeling when I drive back through the area where I hit the deer this past June, I keep waiting for another one to pop out of the bushes. You have one beautiful car.
  12. My vendors label wasn't correct, do you have another to sell? Send me a message and let me know, thanks Paul
  13. Some beautiful Montes there. Have a great time!
  14. Nice work, I needed the same label and just ordered them from a vender that attends Carlisle.
  15. I checked with Jack today and we has the correct decals for my car. Thanks for the post Willie, and Darren I would have never known the difference. You learn so much in this club. Thanks again, Paul
  16. I checked my build sheet, box 91 on my sheet is whl cvrs. I have box 104 that shows tune label. I don't think the 70 had a emissions box. Can someone confirm this? Or would Jack know?
  17. Yes the decal is missing on the car. My build sheet is at my office so I will double check that box in the morning. When I find the code I just call Jack the decal guy and give him the codes and he can look up the correct decals?
  18. Darren, that is very helpful. I checked my built sheet and the code for the air cleaner is CN and the engine tune label is AW. I don't see a box on the build sheet that has emission label on it. I need to check the car because it may have the wrong label on the core support. Willie are these codes all I have to give Jack???
  19. Darren, do you know where a guy can find the correct replacement labels?
  20. I would check the timing , when I bought mine the timing was off a little. If you don't have a timing light you could try to advance vance the timing to see if the car runs any better. A timing light would be a cheap investment if you don't have one. I thought it was an idle adjustment. I got it close and then had a shop fine tune it.
