  1. Do auto parts stores carry SEM paint or can you recommend where I can buy a can??
  2. I'm going to polish and restore the lower moldings that came with my car. My question is what have you that have restored these molding used to re-paint these?? Is it a flat black or semi-gloss or full gloss??
  3. You would think so, maybe contact them and ask if they hid the tcs wires...not sure what to think.
  4. Willie, did you tape up the harness?? I looked at the wiring diagram and it shows that the 20 P and 20 DBL wires runs to the relay. maybe some just taped the unused wire to the harness???
  5. Yes, sorry mine is a 454.
  6. Willie, what size engine do you have ? If it did you should have a relay on the firewall and the wire runs from the relay to the soleniod on the intake.
  7. Not good, you spend all the time and money and it happens in a minute. I had the same feeling when I hit the deer the week before last.
  8. I had the same issue and played with solenoids last year. One of the members suggested an rebuilt AC Delco starter motor and that has seemed to fix the problem for me. I bought mine from Rock Auto...Good luck
  9. Great progress keep the pictures coming, looking good....
  10. Hit a deer on the way home from work... Now I'm going to have to find a few front end parts... Not the best day but the deer didn't come over the hood. The other good thing if it can be good is I didn't drive my Corvette today...
  11. Looking good so far...I wish I had those skills. I guess I should just by a welder and practice. Good luck with the project!
  12. I believe you can still get longer studs at your local Chevy dealer. I would start there...good luck. The new rims look awesome!
  13. I would also be interested in the CN sticker. I haven't found the correct one ether...
  14. I just used PB Blaster, WD-40 may work as well...
  15. Did you try to spray them with some pb blaster and let them soak??
  16. I think Rock Auto has the rebuilt kits
  17. I loosened the fender skirts an the lower fender bolts. It is still a very tight fit to get your hand in that tight space. Be careful not to scrape the paint at the front door....ask me how I know....good luck
  18. I will check the plug wires although they are new. I looked at the brown wire at the fire wall and noticed that the grommet was pushed in, I'm going to take a close look at the wire and make sure it didn't rub threw. I have to try to push the grommet back into the hole so it stays put. I will look into a radio suppressor. Thanks
  19. I checked all wires and everything was tight and right. I wiggled the ground wire and off course the tach is now working. But still to questions. Where can a guy or gal get the flex hose from the heater box to the lap cooler? And now i notice a ticking noise in the radio, do i need somekind of noise surrpressor. Not sure if my decription is good but let me know.
  20. Thanks Bruce, the car has factory gauges. I will take a look. I had the cluster out over the winter and was very careful to put it all back together. I will look for the single wire. I will keep you posted
  21. Good point, and I would much rather not have to remove the dash pad again, I will report back. Thanks
  22. So awesome you still have the car. My dad worked for a Chevy dealer when I was a kid and I remember when the Montes came in on the transports. They have always been one of my favorite Chevrolets. Enjoy your anniversary!!!!
  23. I will check the back of the tach, I'm guessing I can get at if from the top with the dash pad taken off???
