  1. That is not impossible for sure I have just never heard of that before. When I worked for Delco Remy of General Motors we did have marking mechanisms on our machines to show which ones had made the part, that way they could trace said part especially if it was defective

  3. I used to belong the the AARP but politically they are very wrong for my family. Their mail goes directly to file Z when it arrives. There is a conservative group similar to them that I do belong to and I am getting more useful benefits for us
  4. I have had mine out to the golf course twice in the last month. Car ran great and the golfing was pretty good for this OLD hacker

  6. here are some photos of the trailer hitch a good friend made for our 72, only drilled two holes as one hole was already present on each side
  7. Started to join the Air Force in 1967, got my preinduction notice from the draft board. Went and took the physical and flunked the preinduction physical so the Air Force did not want me either
  8. My brother was an air force plane maintenance guy. Stationed at Lakenheath or something like that and one of the planes that he was the repair crew on is in Dayton OH at the Museum. He also was based in the States at Myrtle Beach SC

  10. I used the washer method Mr Tretter mentioned earlier and it worked great. Screw driver to pry the spring apart slightly slide in washer and insert it a little farther with a pair of channel locks. On new springs put them in a vise and just bent them over inserting washers as I went on one side and bent it the other way and repeated. About halfway down a lot of the washer fell out and the others came out easily.
  11. I ordered a 400SB September 20,1969 and it came from the Van Nays plant because the Flint plant went on strike right after my order was placed
  12. I have the custom window felts on my 72 and they worked fine I did have to do some minor tweaking but was fine other wise. The weather stripping I cannot answer about and probably the felt answer does not fit your needs. I have had very few problems with anything I have ever purchased from them

  14. Van Nuys was also one of the first plants. That is where my 70 that I ordered 9/20/1969 came from after the Flint plant went on strike
  15. I bought a new Nova in 68 and it had the SMOG pump and tubes My Monte I bought in Sept of 69 came from the Van Nuys plant without that stuff.. Nova High performance 327(325 Horse) the Monte 265 horse SB 400
  16. My 70 I ordered in September of 69 came with 15 X 7 steel weeks because I ordered G70 sized tires
  17. I ordered my new 70 on September 20th, 1969. The Flint plant went on Strike shortly there after so It ended up taking 10 weeks for it to arrive in Indiana after being built in Van Nuys I do not know how long it took to transport across country but I am guessing about 2 weeks. That puts my build date around The middle of November 1969. I did not know about build sheets and could not get the window sticker off in one piece and boy did I try to do that but a total failure

  19. Those six bottom clips hold on the molding behind the rear wheels. You put them on the car and slip the molding down onto them and screw the molding tot he bottom of Quarter panel
  20. I had a 68 Chevy Nova it was a great little car the factory tires lasted 8,800 miles. It was a 325 horse 327 with a close ratio four speed and 3/;73 posi Went side ways on third gear when you hammered it Never had a Buick Nova
