Monte123
Hello, I recently had the vinyl top replaced and was wondering if anyone has a trick for locating the 3 holes for the Monte badges that go on the sail panels ?
72-CLASSIC_RIDE
I am guessing the only way to find exact locations is to remove rear quarter panels and look up into sail panel cavity. If you are going to replace them with the originals, you will have to open them up anyways to put nuts on and tighten the script to sail panel. monte70car
Try this, they do not show the pin location but will give you an ideal on where the script goes. The first and last are taken from the drip rail chrome, the second one is taken from the top of the quarter panel
lastss
You use barrel nuts not screw on nuts.
MC-71
Use your finger. I'm sure you have a idea where the emblem goes unless somebody sealed the holes. Just keep running you finger with pressure and it will be magic because you will find them. Carl

Monte123
Thanks, I was able to find the holes by looking down the opening at the quarter glass with the rubber parts removed and using a pick with a 90 degree bend in it poking through from the inside. Now, where do I find the barrel nuts and what size are they. The parts store I went to didn't many sizes

overdrive
Napa part #665-1342 is the correct nut. I just got a bag of 20 yesterday. I don't need all of them. I'll share with you, Tony. Send me a PM and I'll mail them to you. Dan
