Sam (Bones)
well there's no sense of putting a radio in this car, and the dash is already HACKED I made this up what do ya think
Heckeng
Cool Sam, I'm looking forward to seeing how you mount it. I have wanted to do something that could hold some aftermakret gauges for a long time, but don't want to spend the jack on one of those Kovan's dashes. By the way, LOVE those particular gauges! Guest ADGTRUNKLID
Great! I think it deserves a write-up
7tonemonte
Where does the Altimeter go>? Just curious! Looks nice Sam, are you putting that where the radio was?
502ci
are you putting that where the radio was? Looks like the curve in the metal on the upper left of the panel is shaped to clear the larger factory gauge so I would guess that you are right. Looks good, are you gonna do any more gauges in the dash?
Jared Richey
I think its a good idea Sam. That is gonna be a Dash full of Gauges. I like Gauges. Over those Dummy Lights.
Sam (Bones)
not sure about any more, the fuel pressure gauge will be in the cowl of the hood like before, may take-out the center A/C vent and make a switch panel for their, with LED's for indicators speaking of LED's...for you smokers...you know how hard it is to get a ashtray in cars now, let alone A LIGHT FOR IT!!!! took a blue LED drilled a hole above the ashtray, popped it in, wired it to a light led that wasn't used...ASHTRAY LIGHT, switched with the lights CHEAP & EASY, BUT!!!! it was too bright!!!! so I painted the side of the led that faced out with black paint, now it's perfect

Capri's 71 SS
Looks great, Sam! Can't wait to see how it looks installed. Love the light for the ashtray! You aren't kidding about the lack of ashtrays ! My Odyssey does not have one! I had to buy a portable! Crazy!
monte70car
u mean u all dont have the ashtray light that runs off of one of the dash lights?
Sam (Bones)
rough fit in the dash, needs a little more "love" don't know if I want to leave it bare metal or cover it, guess I'll have to see it with the dash cover on it first
Sam (Bones)
not in the truck, and the monte's is long gone

Sam (Bones)
I would use the smaller gauges if I was to do it again, still have to cut the cluster cover, which will be tricky, it's already covered with vinyl
Phil
Looks good Sam, funny how the Vac Gauge goes counterclockwise and the others clockwise.
Mike 57
My impala does not have a ashtray. They offer a smoker's kit 45 bucks for a plastic smoking cup and a lighter adapter and no L.E.D.
