  1. Past hour
  2. Rob, I'm interested in grabbing this room. Planning on arriving either Thursday or Friday, leaving Sunday.
  3. Today
  4. Richard/Joyce Dixon aint going to be able to be there due to medical reasons
  5. Aluminum or not, I can’t believe how well that Pepsi can was preserved.
  6. James, did you spray or roll on the herculine stuff?
  7. Looks like the original stuff from the factory or dealership. I herculined all my wheel wells after I had replaced both inner/outer on mine along with "skins" for the quarter panels. The bottom of my car is also done with Herculine and is holding up quite well for being on the car for 18 yrs.
  8. Dan looking good, i see you have been busy!!! Like Steve said looks good under it all!!! Nice!!!
  9. There are now just 50 days and a wake-up until the First Generation Monte Carlo Club members start arriving in Carlisle for our 25th FGMCC Eastern Meet!!! Tomorrow we will be entering the 40's in our countdown. rob
  10. These SS454 values are getting pretty consistent at 60-70k at auction for decent quality cars.
  11. While most here will be taken aback by the anomaly, I’m biting my tongue. In the meantime, this is a portrayal of me and Amy watching this event unfold…
  12. If that's the one in the picture, Great find! Is that pearl white on it ? . Very classy with the rallyes on it. I'm going BBC (427) myself in mine , Going to be a "Custom " Clone. It all started out as a Dark green 2bbl 350/turbo 350 , 2:73 posi traction 10 bolt car, the motor was a '86 replacement 350. After much needed restoration, turns into this with a 420 hp 350/2004r, 2:73 posi traction 10 bolt , and now to a 427/turbo 400 ,3:73 posi traction. Yes, the 402 was a much needed upgrade due to the reduced HP back in the early 70's.
  13. I have the rubber piece that goes in the molding. My concern is when I put the chrome molding on, and then I try to roll down the back glass, it’s wanting to pop the molding back off, because it seems like it’s getting stuck. Where the quarter panel meets. That gap looks a little wider than the passenger side. I put the molding on the passenger side with no problem. Thanks
  14. Welcome Pete! Next to a true SS the 402 cars are the next desirable ones. They basically could be optioned like an SS only with less cubes. We have 2 71 402s in our stables an auto and a factory 4speed. Good luck on your decision.
  15. That's a whole lot of work keep up the good work looks pretty good under the crud.
  16. If the engine was changed. I am waiting to hear from him to check the number on the pad to verify because it was a numbers matching block. This had become quite an interesting plot and it thickens more.
  17. I scraped 1/2 of my drivers side rear wheel well and this is the pile of undercoating and dirt.
  18. Brant, Please answer the things I posted above, such as how long you have owned the car? did you inspect the car and drive the car prior to buying it? exactly what is wrong with the engine? if you didn't inspect or drive the car prior to buying it did you have someone else do this? how did you find this car? have you talked to Jared to ask him what he knows about the car from when he owned it? Is he the one who put the engine in it? Yes, you should expect to get what you paid for but without more information I I would find it hard to accuse Scott of being a scammer. It should always be a buyer beware when buying something on the internet especially if buying sight unseen. I would suggest you contact Jared to find out everything he may have done to the car when he owned it. Rather than coming here to post something negative about who you purchased the car from your time may be better spent considering legal action. Many states have a "Lemon Law" when it comes to vehicles, that may be something you may want to look into also. Calling him a scammer here is something you should not do without more proof. I would also suggest speaking with a lawyer. rob
  19. $71,850 with fees. Hammered at 66k. Pretty safe to Montes are here to stay and these prices are the new normal for a quality SS. BJ or mecum it would probably have hammered in the 70s but way more fees and Travel expenses. Happy for him, he was my directors pick at the 2017 meet in Hiawassee GA with this car.
  20. Had a 71 402, 10 years and 100,000 miles, best car ever. Regretted sale ever since and finally found a 70SS 5 years ago so you could say the 402 was the hook.
  21. Welcome aboard!!! Nice looking car
  22. It made a difference. I try and stay away from night driving. DEER!
  23. Picture of one head light done the other the new one.
  24. They seem pretty bright. Not as good as the new cars today. But for a 1972. I did not go for day time running lights.
