  3. The profile says Fresno, California, if it's still a current location. At least it's a general area of the country. Phone number shows the same area as well.
  4. You may want to let people know your location (City and State also in case they want to inspect your car or have someone nearby you inspect it. You may also want to give a more detailed description including options, modifications, restored or unrestored, when it was restored, paint and interior age, any rust, etc. And like mentioned by Dennis, Pictures, pictures and more pictures
  5. It may help eliminate a bunch of calls if you post some pictures on the site. If you need help just reach out and we will be more than happy to assist you. Dennis.
  6. Thank you gentlemen. I had bought the positive cable from Lutty's and I can't remember who I bought the negative cable from. It was two years ago and I just figured that I'd try again later. lol
  7. Hello to all. Over the last several months I have been thinking of selling my ‘71 454 SS and am now going to do it. I would like to get it to someone who really wants a true SS. I have the original build sheet and the car is in excellent condition. I’m asking $65k If interested please reach out to me for pics and more info. 559-287-8629. Jeff
  8. the key is the impregnated bushing with graphite, squeak, noise, and friction eliminator. urethane just too hard and friction prone!
  9. hello stangeba my 70 ss does exactly the same thing. but it's all original. I know the upper control arm bushings need replaced. springs weak. I did the rear many years ago with polygraphite and no problems or noises, other than tires burning out! ha ha. god I hate that noise. as time isn't on my side, going to try and get to that this summer with help from my sons. know that I rattle on but with only a year prognosis I figure what the hell eh! going with polygraphite.
  10. Here is a link to what Lutty's has. rob https://www.luttyschevy.com/search.html#!year%3D1970||make%3DCHEVROLET||model%3DMONTE CARLO||sxq%3DBattery cable
  11. If you got them from opgi that explains it. It will have the manufacturer sticker on the bag. It was either M&H or American Autowire but I called them directly and they said that opgi has selling these wrong for years. They sent me a set.
  12. We have now slipped into new territory, moving into the 30's in our countdown with only 39 days and a wakeup until our first members start arriving in Carlisle to kick off our 25th Eastern Meet, rob
  13. I got Chevelle cables too.. Does anybody have a part number?
  14. Today I drove the 1970 Monte 60 miles round trip for work and drove the 1971 Monte 50 miles for a cruise-in. They both got a workout today.
  15. Energy Suspension makes the polygraphite bushings for PST. For front and rear they are about $60 less and the part numbers are almost identical. I’ll call Jegs tomorrow to see if I can confirm they are the same part. Otherwise I’ll order from PST. Rear/$159, front/$129.
  16. I drink a lot of water.
  17. Dennis i am happy that you are drinking water!! lol
  18. Years ago I replaced all my ft end with Red Polyurethane bushings. I think the squeaking started about 3 years later and still hasn't stopped. I think this is the first time I have heard of polygraphite bushings. THANKS!! I can make mine squeak with one finger pressing on the fender or hood. Keep us up to date on where and how much they cost.
  19. Dan, those look outstanding. Nice work.

  22. Just ran across this and thought I'd share. https://www.ebay.com/itm/315352327487?itmmeta=01HXD8J1Q310NNX9KC4NVGD8QS&hash=item496c76a53f:g:alwAAOSwCktmON7k&itmprp=enc%3AAQAJAAAAwM%2FMReGXsD6tHvOue6MYTJ3%2FUTJXTSLheuqOXCYF1powT8WqcTD9sPRPoa5yz1hkUfKF8CMi2mKNCSSqk1BTjsI4vx6mkH7xDwWy4WQoOwweANG7hWjJKb1gDbgRLdc2wmiFi1O6jYei9VO9%2Bwp7CkD97Q6UF4Lh0T8fnk%2BLiIKndHdi6OSm5GwnyjSoWqPvi1Zg1XkNhCeeipYngCe66ui2%2FUjliD%2FX65wxloui8Nt54DliMJAO1RcW1lzABiAykg%3D%3D|tkp%3ABk9SR9CbyKjrYw
  23. I just talked to Dennis T (dtret), he has a bunch of them and said for you to PM him, he'll take care of you.
  24. The parts place has them part number EL1651M. $29.99
  25. I'll find you something. It looks like someone did some type of hack job with a pipe reducer? EDIT: You're looking for item #3 in the diagram below , GM part number 3963317 A quick search shows a couple NOS ones on ebay for stupid money, OPGi for $29, plus what will be stupid shipping costs, and a likely delivery date of 'the day after never'. [EDIT: I just checked, it's backordered anyways]. Looks like 'Classic Muscle has it listed for $18, but says 'store is closed', - email or call. https://www.classicmuscle.com/p-1970-1972-monte-carlo-tray-support-bracket-3963317 The 'Parts Place' has one thru their ebay store, with free shipping (likely cheaper at the real store, but shipping factors in at that point) ebay-Parts Place Yeah, 21.95 at the Parts place, but you'd be paying to ship it: https://www.thepartsplaceinc.com/product/1971/1971-chevrolet-monte-carlo-battery-tray-support-bracket/4507
