  1. Welcome to the madness Bob! Nice 71! What happened to the 70? Lol
  2. 3.36? 3.55? 10 bolt? Still, trutrac!
  3. Don't know how the swap meet will be. Just loading up some "in stock" stuff. Lol
  4. Sorry, I agree with you thoughts but you can't beat a trutrac. So simple and so strong! I have broken to bits every posi you mentioned plus a moroso "brute strength" posi and a strange posi. Believe me on this one, purchase the trutrac and you can thank me later. No clutches, no special additives, just simplicity that works.
  5. I have seen that style sway bar before. On elcaminos. All have had 12 bolt rears and no f41 suspension. Usually small block cars. Idk why though.
  6. I want a monster!!!!! Send one to me please! Lolol
  7. Old school collector gaskets soaked in water. Install, they swell up while drying and done!
  8. You are correct about the Flint cars not having a build sheet. None have been found. Sounds like a very well optioned Monte. The passenger side mirror was not an option. Most likely a dealer installed part or former owner installation. Pics???
  9. Happy Easter Everyone!!!! Hope you all have a great day!!!
  10. We use the same method as Canuck. Always worked for us also.
  11. Yes. Personally, don't like rally stripes on the Monte Carlo. The chevelle SS and Camaro Z/28, yes, love the stripes on them.
  12. The 4 core radiator was an option. Heavy duty cooling.
  13. That may have been in a chevelle but it's not for a chevelle. The chevelle radiator should be the same length and height as the one you took out of the Monte Carlo. What you have there is a radiator of a late 80's square body truck. Probably a suburban. The heater hose nipple on the tank below the filler cap and between the transmission cooler indicates so.
  14. They install just like the originals although they do not go into the factory holes. Studs in different locations. You would have to drill 2 holes in each endcap, remove them and bolt on the trim pieces.
  15. The dipstick tube itself coming out or just fluid coming out the top of the tube?
  16. No. Just make sure whatever style seal the new tube requires is used. Either an o-ring or a boot. Some people prefer the boot style due to more of a sealing surface.
  17. Welcome Welcome! Pics!!!!!
  18. That looks to crisp of a stamping. Too perfect and the 9 andthe 2 don't look like the gm style stamps. Obviously I can be wrong, that's my opinion though. What about the block casting number and date code?
  19. I would purchase the firestone helper air bag kit and tow away! My open trailer has alot of tongue weight and a fully loaded tool box up front and with the helper air bags I tow great! For a 1500 at least. Lol
  20. What kind of truck do you tow with? I have a 2010 sierra 1500. I added air bags /tow bags to the rear suspension and level out the truck when hauling. Works great and I tow an 24ft open trailer and a 24 ft enclosed trailer with it. Not at the same time. Lolol
  21. If you are going to do it yourself, I suggest purchasing mufflers of your choice, flowmaster tailpipes in the size you want and a universal x pipe kit. You will only need a few short pieces of pipe to connect everything possibly. Have done this with a few cars and worked flawlessly.
