  1. Soff seal on doors and ESPECIALLY roof Rails Metro roof Rails are made waaaaaaay to thick. And doors are too in the corners Their (metro) roof Rails are trash across the board from my 59 cadillac to a G body. To thick! Had to order a 2nd set for my cadillac due to terrible fit and to thick. It's a night and day difference in thickness (Classic industries obviously sells the metro junk on the 59 era big GM cars) Trunk the metro is fine.
  2. Use SEM dye Clean first with decreaser, scuffing doesn't hurt either. Then Bulldog Adhesion promoter then the SEM dye

  4. I remember seeing these photos on the website years ago. Meets that far away seemed like another planet to a 13 year old lol I joined in 2005 and went to Bristol in 2006 A Monte was never my favorite car I just happened unto these cars by chance really of my grandpa buying a 70 in 1999. But I've never been to an event I enjoy more than an Eastern Meet. Such great people in this club
  5. Yes. Great People. One of the originals from that first meet I was at in 2006. A good number of the folks that were there are gone now. They also attended the 2019 Kodak TN meet. Here we are 4 years later and both are dead. There health really went south shortly after that.
  6. For just material SMS is the place. They had identical cloth for my 59 cadillac 2 door hardtop. The white vinyl was sourced locally by my interior guy and was close enough for me. Plan on replacing foam and possibly springs and other work also.
  7. ^^good buy at 32k at that GAA auction imo! Looks like a reseller bought it. In reality I believe it's a 35-38k car if its as nice as it looks in the pictures and authentic 19k miles. Adding vintage air would help the value to command a more premium price. I've ridden the wave on these cars since 2006 and happy to see them getting some recognition but hope they stay underneath under stuff. I never thought I'd see a 4 speed or SS Monte bring more $ than a 4SDQP409 62 belair bubbletop at an auction but it's happening, hopefully those are on the way on down some more.
  8. I'm still hoping to see that thing rebirthed one day!

  12. Charles Biggs was a long time member of the NMCOA. He is now in the new national club I believe. He was at the 2021 Super Chevy in Bristol with his new Monte Earnhardt Edition. He still has this car.
