  1. John, I just bought the column from Mike B, he said that his car was a manual and I re-installed it in my automatic floor shift with no problem so I think they are the same. Maybe someone else can confirm.
  2. Bob may have one listed on ebay,
  3. Welcome, great looking car
  4. I tested mine with my sump pump back-up battery. My problem was once back in the car half didn't work and even when I rotated them they still didn't want to work. I didn't have enough room behind the cluster. I ended up replacing mine with new sockets and all new 194 bulbs. Good luck
  5. In a tire size comparison, The 255 seems to be the closest in height to the original 215/70r15 for the speedo reading, the 245 reads a bit slower. The 255 10" wide versus 9.6" for the 245. I think I will try the 245 and see what happens. Thanks
  6. Arron, so you had 245's on your old SS and 255's on the new SS. Is there much difference?? Any clearance issues with the 255's? What size would you recommend or purchase if you were going to replace the tires on your car??
  7. Thanks Arron, no handling or drivablity issues? I'm trying to figure out how old my tires are in another post. The tires are 22570R15 so I think the are to tall. Thanks again
  8. Arron, are those tires on 7" rims????
  9. It will be interesting to see what they come up with
  10. I just bought the streeing column from Mike B from his 72, he built a wood crate and bolted it to crate and then boxed it. It arrived and UPS must have really tossed it hard because it broke loose and was all scratched up. So make sure you get your parts as protected as possible.
  11. UPS is getting pricey, I just sent a clock to NH from Chicago and it was 20 bucks. It only weighed 2 lbs. Good luck
  12. Rob, I'm not sure about the lines but I just had my A/C fixed by a tech at a shop that I trust. When I got the car I was told that it had been converted. The tech that worked on my car told me that the car was converted to R134 but the POA valve and expansion valve were not. The system had Freon but the low side pressure was higher than the high side pressure so that is why my compressor wouldn't cycle. We ended up ordering a POA valve that looks like the old style(R134 compatible) and a new expansion valve and that fixed the system. The valve was about 250.00 but it looks and works like new. I hope that helps, good luck with the project.
  13. Jared, I think it has Joe the owner. He was going to figure out the measurement of the stud location and talk to the people that produce the lower mouldings. I have a 70 so Never followed up. You might want to call them and ask. Good luck and keep us posted...

    Kind of Cool

Very cool, Maybe they should have named her Sarah Sue!!!
  15. I had the same issue, I replaced my starter with a ac delco starter but in the process I found that the wires to the starter from the coil were rubbed bare and were shorting out on the block. I replaced the wires and starter and all is good so far...good luck
  16. I talked to someone at the Parts Place and they were going to have there supplier manufactor the upper mouldings but I don't see them listed
  17. I just had my dash cluster out to repair the clock. My fiber optic was on the amp gage, You can add it without removing the cluster just the dash pad. Good luck
  18. When I worked a dealership the state police came in to look at stolen cars. I thought they looked at a stamping on the rear frame rail. Maybe on the right side. Good luck...
  19. I just finished removing my cluster and repaired my clock, replaced all the dash bulbs and polished a scratch out of the dash lens. It was a bit nerve racking, I referenced Dennis's step by step instructions which were very helpful. It you decide to replace the gauge just take your time...Merry Christmas

    Brake Booster

I agree, I bought mine from the right stuff, perfect match
  21. Mike, follow the write up that Dennis posted, very helpful. I took mine apart again, blew it out with air, re-oiled it and it hasn't stopped since. Nice to have the orginal clock running again. Now I have to pull the cluster out and swap it out with the quartz clock that isnalso not working and swap out the bulbs for led. Good luck..
  22. Has anyone had any luck removing scratches from the plastic lens covering the tach and clock. I have seen some vidoes on line where polish is used.
