Thanks, I was hoping for a match on one of mine or my brothers Monte's but no luck so hopeing to find someone else's car that matches.

Not sure of exact build date but car was shipped by truck on 2/24/70. I was used as a demo on March 5,1970.Its really cool to look and see what people traded in when they bought there new Monte carlo's

I recently purchased 37, 1970-1972 Monte Carlo dealer invoices.These are the 1971 Monte Vins that i have paperwork for.If your car came from Scher Chevorlet Brockton Mass. then maybe i have your invoice.If i do I would want proof that you have the car ,ie. color combo and options.I would love to find some cars still out there and get the paperwork with them. Here are some measurements my brother and I took from an original bucket seat car. The only original seat mount hole you will use is driver's side rear so use that as a measurement point. Good luck

I have a 15x8 with 4. 1/2 backspace with a 275 60 15 tire so you should have no problem with a 235.

Our 71 big block non SS car does not have the disc brake pad. Is it possible that on SS cars because it came with the upgraded dash (knobs with symbols) that the pad was part of it?

I have done several sets. I painted the whole emblem black then while paint is still wet used a rag with paint thinner on it and carefully wiped the chrome clean.

It may be a top that was added by dealer or maybe later. My 71 had a full top went to drip rails and down the a pillar. You can see it in the picture.You can look on your trim tag to see if your car came with a top from the factory.

Easy trick is put a rag behind the handle and turn the rag or the handle and the clip will pop off.
