72 Monte Carlo
My 72 Monte Carlo was ordered by a local woman, and it was Sequoia Green with a black vinyl top, green interior with cloth seats, tilt column, A/C, 350 4bbl, 350 turbo trans, 2.73 gears, etc. Is there any vendors for the Monte Carlo that makes and sells the cloth seat upholstery? I've seen lots of vinyl seat stuff, but not the cloth upholstery. From the build sheet that I found on top of the gas tank, here are the options she got when she ordered my Monte Carlo; A01 - All tinted glass B37 - Floor mats B42 - Lugg compartment mat B80 - Roof Drip Molding B85 - Belt Reveal Molding B96 - Front/Rear OPG Molding C08 - Vinyl Top C24 - Depress W/S Washer Pump C60 - Air Conditioning GW5 - 2.73 Gear Ratio axle J50 - Power Brakes JL2 - Power Disc Front Brakes L48 - V8 350 CI 4BB M38 - CBC Trans N33 - Tilt Steering Wheel N40 - Power Steering PA3 - Custom Wheel Disc PU8 - G78x15WW Tires UF1 - Map Lamp U25 - Lugg Compartment Lamp U26 - Underhood Lamp U27 - Glove Box Lamp U28 - Ash Tray Lamp U29 - IP Courtesy Lamps U35 - Electric Clock U63 - AM Radio U76 - Windshield Antenna U80 - Rear Speakers ZJ9 - Lite Group She ordered it and it was built in the Van Nuys Plant, then it shipped directly to the Tigard Oregon, and then to Maurice Roy Garage in Pilot Rock, Oregon, which is where she lived and bought it from. I got it from the guy that bought it from her, so I'm the third owner of this soon to be getting new paint 72 MC. Did the non-Custom models get the B85 Belt Reveal Molding? Thanks, Doug
72-CLASSIC_RIDE
There is a well known Upholstery Shop in Canby, Oregon that seems to have sold cloth material for our era cars. Someone will likely chime in the name unless I can remember it first. The Reveal Belt Molding was an option on any 1972 Monte Carlo and were standard as you noted only on the Customs. stangeba
Try CARS INC. I think this is material only. They also have covers. http://carsinc.com/cloth-dark-green-72-monte-carlo-5486.html

420ponies
My Black Cloth for my '72 was brought fro CARS inc. This stuff is on the expensive side . I bought mine in '07 and was $95.00 a yard. I had replaced the bucket seat back and the rear seat top piece. that was $285.00 for material. You could also try Ausley's in North Carolina. 7tonemonte
At the time I redid my interior CarsInc were the only ones with the cloth option. I was very pleased with the quality and fit of them. About double the cost of vinyl but It was in my car originally and I did like it. I believe Legendary makes them now also, and Ive always heard good things about thier stuff
RealRed70
SMS auto fabrics in Canby, OR has many original fabric patterns. You could try them to find the fabric/ cloth that you need. You can buy a set of vinyl seat covers and have an upholstery shop install the correct cloth if someone like SMS has it available.
