71 SS with buckets made?

Any statistics on how many 71 SS were made with bucket seats? I heard rumors of 300 plus but unconfirmed.. thanks...

I have never seen any numbers for that.  I would think more than that but again I don' think they tracked that.

I've seen  more 70SS with bench seats than 71 SS. I think Rob is right when he says they didn't track that . My 71 SS has buckets.

I’ve owned two 71 SS Montes and both were factory bucket seat cars.

My friend purchased a new 71 SS, after I got my 71 350, and he did NOT have bucket seats.

Sounds like Rob is correct.. probably more than300 plus.. Somethings are best left unknown ...and enjoy both .. Both are rare and precious....

The only breakdown of bucket seats installed is the total across the entire Chevelle/Malibu/El Camino/Monte Carlo line. 56,638.

My guess is in a 71 Monte Carlo SS more came with buckets than didn't..

Reason I say that is a lot of these Monte Carlos were loaded with options.
