  2. I purchased mine from them . It fits perfect. Good price . Life time warranty as well....
  3. Yesterday
  4. Both my Montes have California Car Covers on them. Without digging up paperwork or looking through millions of emails, I don’t recall ever seeing an exact length, I just remember searching by make, model, and year. I tried two different varieties (can’t recall the “names” off the top of my head)… the black is softer than the gray, but less dust repellent. I don’t recall seeing mirror pockets as an option at the time I ordered them, but there’s enough slack in them to drape over the mirrors without the risk of breaking them.
  5. Not being a paint and body guy the pictured issues worry me https://www.hemmings.com/classifieds/dealer/chevrolet/monte-carlo/2729733.html
  6. That would be a good idea if car sits in the weather particularly. Past conversations indicated, drill holes (never discussed how large a hole) in each lowest corner section, adapt a drain hose from underside and trail out where any excess water is discarded away from the metal. Where that spot is is up to you to determine a good drain location so water doesn't end up causing a problem elsewhere. I had my rear window out earlier in my purchase but did not read this idea until after repaired. However, my Body Man replaced rear window gutter rust, used an epoxy primer/sealer in channel and then finish coat. As I keep mine garaged, I'm not particularly concerned I will have issues moving forward. I will also flush those corners with water hose to keep dirt residue under control periodically. Good luck and good idea if you decide to do this. I would make certain those frilled drain holes are properly Sealed to prevent rust from forming in those areas. Doug
  7. My Delco AM/FM is currently out getting some repair, tuning & cosmetic work done. It has been at his Shop for about 6 months now. Bad timing on my part as he indicated he is/was Slammed with work. Expecting it completed in July/August. His business is called "Joes Radio Repair" in South Carolina and looks to work on many varieties of Vintage Radio's. Not having any info on where to have work done, I did some research and came up with him. Can't substantiate his work until radio returned but considering the demand for his services, I felt comfortable I sent it to the right place. He actually provides a Data Base indicating where your Radio is in back log along with a projected completion date but no guarantee's. You might call/email and see where you may fit in. Best of Luck, Doug
  8. Hey Bill, I bought the "Motor Trend" cover (large car) from Amazon last year for my '70, and it's miles ahead or the cotton/poly one I got the first time. It works on my '04 Monte.... Just need to remember to put the cord on under the car or it winds up in the corner of the yard on a windy day.
  9. That's what I suspected when I wound up getting a new battery..... I've got a "micro" starter that I thought was bad, but Auto Value bench tested it and found that my battery didn't have enough amps to spin it. Glad you got it figured out. 👍 Scott.
  10. yes my cover is pure cotton and indoors only ,wash it every other year
  11. Hey Grant, When I first got Montelishi, the previous owner had completely bypassed the neutral safety switch with a short pigtail at the connection under the dash. It was all fun and games until the pigtail fell out and she wouldn't turn over at all...... That's when I discovered how bad the under dash wiring really was.
  12. New Delco starter, although it did take 3 starters to get one that worked!
  13. I checked my records and I don't see who did the repairs on my radio. I will keep looking and if I find it I'll let you know
  14. 133 people, that's phenomenal! Thanks again for all of your time and effort to pull this off.

  16. Outdoor cover- sealskin. Always running sales.
  17. I finally had time to finish the last two spots of sheet metal work. The bottom left corner of the rear window channel was rusted out. The driver's door needed repair and I got them both done with a mig welder and acid core solder. I've read about putting in a couple drains for the rear window channel. Is that the recommended thing to do?
  18. That you all for the comments and suggestions, yes I think I will run a T and tap the sensor and the copper line from the back. I forgot to mention that I do have an aftermarket temp gauge as well that I was going to install in in the intake, but I believe it is mechanical or capillary tube style as it is fixed to the gauge. The location I have the temp sensor now is correct though right as far as the stock location goes?
  19. That’s exactly what I did on my 71. I wanted both.
  20. I’ve been using the Permatex thread sealant #80632 instead of the Teflon tape. It comes with an applicator brush. Definitely get a 90 on that oil sensor. Maybe someone will chime in on this, but have you considered using a T and running your copper line for the mechanical gauge off the same point as your electrical gauge for the oil pressure? It would look cleaner than having it come off the front of the engine.
  21. They’re under Beverly Hills Motoring Accessories. Been around since 76. American made also. Out here in California you’re lucky to get 3 years out of an out door cover. The sun and wind shreds them.
  22. I assume it has been used indoors or at the very least not used outside 24/7 till last that long and be in excellent shape. 🙂
  23. my 72 custom also had black rockers painted under the trim
  24. Hi Marchie, great to see you on the boards again. You should rejoin the club and join us at our Eastern Meet next month. It is going to be our largest meet ever. rob
  25. i have a beverly hills car cover that is in excellent shape and fits great about 35 to 40 years old, maybe they changed there name to california car cover, dont know
