  1. Past hour
  2. Brant like Dennis said, don't sell it the way it is if you don't have to. If the original engine is long gone, just replace what's in there now. If you don't know where to find one give Jared a call maybe he can hook you up!! The car is worth way more running than not!! And don't forget, we are here for any questions if you need us????
  3. Today
  4. Cory, Well worth the price of joining this Club. We also hold a Mini Meet at the Syracuse Nationals, the “Largest Car Show in the Northeast” with over 10K plus vehicles in attendance at the NYS Fairgrounds in Syracuse NY. Plenty of great members, events, information, camaraderie and fun. We hope you will join us.
  5. Welcome to the group nice Monte
  6. Welcome to the group you’ve got a nice Monte there you’ve come to the right place plenty of knowledge and information about the FGMC.
  7. Leghome

    77 for Glen ?

boy that inset sure screwed up a rather nice photo. In fact it looks like a double photo shop trick one on the bod and one of the pix of the car yuck
  8. I have been to Somerset KY for cruise in before. Rode the rattlesnake. I’m 3hrs South of Somerset. Will definitely be watching for events on the East coast.
  9. There are only 51 and a wake-up until the First Generation Monte Carlo Club members start arriving in Carlisle for the largest FGMCC Eastern Meet!!! On Monday we will be entering the 40's in our countdown. rob
  10. Don’t sell. Put a motor in. IF, I don’t know, money is the issue you can buy a running small block usually pretty cheap and put it in the car in a day. Paint it up so it looks good and there you go.
  11. Very nice 72 !. You just missed the FGMCC eastern meet in Somerset Ky last summer. If you don’t make it to Carlisle in PA this year, plan on attending an Eastern meet next year .. 2025… they will be announced on the boards, , again, welcome ….Great club here…
  12. What does it mean when you say the motor is "shot"? Unless the block is cracked, and even if the block is cracked, nothing is beyond repair engine-wise
  13. I have to say there is nothing more satisfying to me than having a repair book that has bookmarks, oil and grease stains, highlighted and underlined areas, etc. I still use my Chiltons manuals for the Monte which are fairly well worn. I use those (I have 2 of them) way more than the assembly manual or the Fisher body book.
  14. These will do the job: ebay-CD version Here are printed versions, but most likely reproductions of the originals. I found that the print quality of those wasn't near as good as original, to the point I sent them back (individual manuals, from Amazon). May work for your limited use though: https://www.ss396.com/monte-carlo/HMS-70A.html?Category_Code=monte-carlo-hgg-100
  15. What happened to your motor? Did you buy it with problems or were you mislead when you bought it? I might be interested in the car. Send me a message if you decide to sell it
  16. Found one !! Bought on Ebay : 1972 BBC driver's side exhaust manifold . We are all good now, Not what I consider a great buy , but it will do for the build. I hope this time , I don't drop it!!
  17. Welcome! Great looking 72.
  18. Welcome Cory! Great lookin Monte. You stumbled upon a great group of people.
  19. Cory, Welcome aboard the boards. We hope you like what you see here and decide to become a dues paying member. Yes, we would love to see you and your dad in Carlisle. Since you are filled up on T-Bucket venue's maybe cancel one of them and join us in Carlisle. You would not regret it. rob
  20. Glen

    77 for Glen ?

I think I’d look damn good rolling in that. And no need for a crane to get in it. I’ll just pick people up and throw them in. I took the liberty of photo shopping myself next to it for reference...
  21. Welcome Cory! Nice looking 72 you and dad purchased.
  22. Well guys got some bad news today that the motors shot. It's not numbers matching was told its a truck block. With that said the wife and I are considering options to either rebuild (if salvageable) put in crate motor or the direction were leaning right now which is to sell. I'll keep you all posted if anyone might be interested if we choose to end this sooner than later. Not even sure I added this to my thread correctly don't do much forum posting Thanks Brant K
  23. Welcome Cory and Dad!!! She is beautiful!! As others said, we are here to help with anything you run into!!
  24. Don’t bait him Willie, you quiet instigator. I see what you’re up to and Imma thinking I won’t like it. lol. 😂
  25. If you mean the other car in the picture that's not a t bucket, it's a completely custom 26 Ford roadster my brother's car,he's in the process of building a 27 Ford coupe now. He's a Ford guy somewhere my parents went wrong 🤣 I have Always liked the t buckets myself too.
