  1. Today
  2. Hey Carl, I’m definitely interested in one. PM sent.
  3. Welcome, Steve! Do right by your friend (please thank him for his service) and continue to keep that Monte proper. PS - You’ve found a great group here.
  4. We used to break out the 1971 4-speed numbers on our web site stating 80 with the 402 which came from a source many years ago. Since then however it came into question with some people suggesting it is the 350 4-speed that was the production of 80 units. Due to this we now only list the total 4-speeds in 1971 without an engine breakdown as we know that number is correct.
  5. The production numbers came from General Motors. rob
  6. Had a gentleman stop in the paint store today with this very nice 70 he is wanting to sell. I did not have time to get very many photos but these two came out pretty decent. The dash has been cut for an aftermarket radio, a crate motor but he has the numbers matching engine. This is all the info I have on the car. He is asking $25,000 but willing to negotiate. His name is Jim Ray phone number 765 208-1960. The car is located in Anderson Indiana. He is also interested in joining the club so I talked to him on how to do it so time will tell if he figures it out.
  7. It's a real SS so maybe I'm beholden I guess the hood was swapped as this is a 70
  8. I had my first monte 23 years ago. Restored it ... than I was moving didn't didn't have a place for it at the moment. So I sold .that decision haunted me for years ....wish I hadnt.now I have one again..this is for keeps. Just be careful as Dennis said....
  9. Be careful. That may be a decision you will regret. Also it depends on what your future choices for toys are.

  11. NOT a fan of the SS badging And IMHO with all the mod's and $$$ I'd expect at least a Dakota Digital dash but thats just me https://www.roadreadyusedcars.com/inventory/used-1972-chevrolet-monte-carlo-cars-00001h57u2b660612/
  12. WOW those are going quick ! Glad I'm not a stock/original guy 🤣
  13. Yesterday
  14. Can you point me to where there is actual proof of their being only 80, Turbo Jet 400/4 speeds in 71? I have looked and researched and can not find that number anywhere. TIA
  15. Spotted another one on Facebook. Sent owner a message about vehicle but no reply as yet. Has the Custom Badges, Steering Wheel of note. I believe to be authentic to the vehicle. As always, I will make modifications as they become known. Those who have their vehicle in the Data Base I encourage you to review your vehicles amenities and advise if anything missing or changed that meets the criteria. These are becoming harder and harder for me to find & am not relentless searching these days. But as found, will continue providing that information. In your travels you spot one, take the time to explain interest if possible, direct them where their info can be documented + any info you feel relevant. When contacted, I direct them to the FGMCC page where to view Data Base for them to get an idea on what I am looking for and to Validate my request. There were several over the past 5 or so years that did not reply to my request for information that were largely Facebook. I can only surmise they we not authentic of which at least some may have been. You will find those on the right side column. Until next Update, Peace Out.... 18. I envy those who keep a classic car for many many years, Since i was a kid I can't keep things very long, I get bored and want something new, and it's the same with cars, trucks bikes, I keep for a few years and I'm ready to move on, I blame my dad because he is the same way lol ,I have had my 70 for 3.5 years now and that's long for me, I love the car but like I said I'm getting bored with it, I'm not sure what to do, I know I'll never get what I have in it, but thats the classic car world, you usually lose money 💵
  19. I went ahead and ordered the black ones. I guess I'll find out.. 😅
