  1. Today
  2. I got Chevelle cables too.. Does anybody have a part number?
  3. Today I drove the 1970 Monte 60 miles round trip for work and drove the 1971 Monte 50 miles for a cruise-in. They both got a workout today.
  4. Energy Suspension makes the polygraphite bushings for PST. For front and rear they are about $60 less and the part numbers are almost identical. I’ll call Jegs tomorrow to see if I can confirm they are the same part. Otherwise I’ll order from PST. Rear/$159, front/$129.
  5. I drink a lot of water.
  6. Dennis i am happy that you are drinking water!! lol
  7. Years ago I replaced all my ft end with Red Polyurethane bushings. I think the squeaking started about 3 years later and still hasn't stopped. I think this is the first time I have heard of polygraphite bushings. THANKS!! I can make mine squeak with one finger pressing on the fender or hood. Keep us up to date on where and how much they cost.
  8. Dan, those look outstanding. Nice work.
  9. Yesterday
  10. Here it is. PM me. Slippers for authenticity.
  11. Just ran across this and thought I'd share. https://www.ebay.com/itm/315352327487?itmmeta=01HXD8J1Q310NNX9KC4NVGD8QS&hash=item496c76a53f:g:alwAAOSwCktmON7k&itmprp=enc%3AAQAJAAAAwM%2FMReGXsD6tHvOue6MYTJ3%2FUTJXTSLheuqOXCYF1powT8WqcTD9sPRPoa5yz1hkUfKF8CMi2mKNCSSqk1BTjsI4vx6mkH7xDwWy4WQoOwweANG7hWjJKb1gDbgRLdc2wmiFi1O6jYei9VO9%2Bwp7CkD97Q6UF4Lh0T8fnk%2BLiIKndHdi6OSm5GwnyjSoWqPvi1Zg1XkNhCeeipYngCe66ui2%2FUjliD%2FX65wxloui8Nt54DliMJAO1RcW1lzABiAykg%3D%3D|tkp%3ABk9SR9CbyKjrYw
  12. I just talked to Dennis T (dtret), he has a bunch of them and said for you to PM him, he'll take care of you.
  13. The parts place has them part number EL1651M. $29.99
  14. I'll find you something. It looks like someone did some type of hack job with a pipe reducer? EDIT: You're looking for item #3 in the diagram below , GM part number 3963317 A quick search shows a couple NOS ones on ebay for stupid money, OPGi for $29, plus what will be stupid shipping costs, and a likely delivery date of 'the day after never'. [EDIT: I just checked, it's backordered anyways]. Looks like 'Classic Muscle has it listed for $18, but says 'store is closed', - email or call. https://www.classicmuscle.com/p-1970-1972-monte-carlo-tray-support-bracket-3963317 The 'Parts Place' has one thru their ebay store, with free shipping (likely cheaper at the real store, but shipping factors in at that point) ebay-Parts Place Yeah, 21.95 at the Parts place, but you'd be paying to ship it: https://www.thepartsplaceinc.com/product/1971/1971-chevrolet-monte-carlo-battery-tray-support-bracket/4507
  15. When replacing the battery found this attached to the inner fender below the battery, it appears it wore a hole in the pan near the bolt hole for the hold down. I think it’s a battery pan support. Does anyone know its name and a source to replace it? IMG_2002.mov
  16. If you’re getting them chromed anyway, I’ll sell the ones that need it done. A lot less expensive for you. Let me know on that. Another thing, you said two sets( that’s fine) but if you know put them on one car then you can have the best of both worlds. And not drill 4.bumpers. I’m good either way. Get a price from them first so you don’t go into sticker shock. Let me know
  17. Not for me. I was thinking for Steve. Thanks though. I knew you short on time, always busy.
  18. I deleted them, unless you were doing it at the same time?
  19. Dennis, I've made a few pair, but I don't like to. Fabricating time is very hard to find right now and they are more expensive to make than a used pair normally costs. I can maybe find a pair for you, if you want some help. This is a pair I made. Dan
  20. after reviewing the pictures of everyone's cars, I have to say that they are the finest example's I have ever seen. Just trying to give a thumbs up. sure makes me want to excel and represent our club's mascot's properly!!!!!
  21. Nice jobs completed today rob I've got a black hole that follows me around last few years 🤣
  22. fully undertsand the fixed income deal. i'm in that club too. I think you'll be very satisfied with the polygraphite decision. can't say all my decisions were well researched, ha ha. I have been married for 34 years. oops I think I texted out loud. and Bilsteins are a great choice. My 70 "sin city" at home in Illinois needs new front springs and all the bushings, too going your way also. rebuilt the rear many years ago with polygraphite and still quiet and very satisfactory. went with moog springs, high energy bushings and monroe shocks. but would have preferred bilsteins. nice job, great upgrade and good luck mark
  23. Today, i changed the Oil, Oil Filter, Air Filter, Heat Riser gasket and passenger side Exhaust Donut. I have to change the passenger side donut ever couple years on this car. For some reason it likes donuts. This time I installed a Banana 🍌 Flavored Donut. Maybe it will hold up better.... Awhile back the gas gauge started reading a higher amount than is really in the tank. Today I found the ground wire, with Joe's help, where the wire gets grounded to the body on the drivers side about 5-6 inches above where the front gas tank strap attaches. I had been told my gas gauge reading issue may be a bad ground at that grounding point. The screw was not at all rusty and came out with ease. I told myself, be careful and don't lose this screw as you clean everything up. I had the screw in my hot little hand carried it into the garage to get a wire brush, steel wool and sand paper so I could bet everything good and clean. Somewhere along the line, while carrying all of these things back out to the car the little screw vanished into thin air.... or at least into the black hole of my garage.... Not to worry, I have enough drawers of screw hardware and I was back in business. BUT, that was not the problem with my gas gauge so the search will continue, short of dropping the tank, I don't need that snowball effect with a little more than 6 weeks before Carlisle. rob
  24. Keep in mind that Ron was a Sears Appliance repair guy. Many of the heating and air conditioning units have diagnostics built into the circuit boards. I was trained in heating and air conditioning many years ago but like automobiles of today the H-Vac units have also become much more electronic and computer based now. Ron doesn't how hot it was up in that attic where that unit was but he was working in a humid attic at about 110 degrees, sweating his keister (among other things) off. I talked to him after he was done. rob
