I'd consider "Big Orange" the nicer of the two..... Especially considering it didn't take a team of techs and a barrel of cash to build her. The personal connection of doing yourself adds so much.4 points

I fully understand. You guys put a ton of time and effort into these meets. FYI, it does NOT go unnoticed or unappreciated. We all thank you. Same goes for that other guy out east. Lol.4 points

A-Dod, let me know anything you need help with. If the Baugh doesn’t work, I’ll hit the pavement and find one that does! I’m taking this meet personal since it’s in my hood! Lol.2 points

2023 Western Meet Logan, Utah June 29-July 2, 2023 The 2023 Western Meet will be held in Logan, Utah. The event we are attending is the Cache Valley Cruise In which has a show and shine, poker run, scenic cruise, swap meet, car givaway, and more. I will follow up with other details soon. I’m excited to attend a meet in a state we haven’t been to before. https://cvcacruisein.com/1 point

I agree with you on that one. I’ll take the cool weekend we had which overall wasn’t bad.1 point

It turned out to be the right weekend in spite of Friday's rain. We're looking at 104 degrees for this weekend.1 point

On a side note, turns out I do have a Speedo suit from years ago. Rob has asked me to bring it so he isn't all alone. How could I deny a 'Presidential' request? Get ready to poke your eyes out people... i just threw up in my mouth.1 point

It depends on the engine size. My 70 350 2brl is a metal black tube painted in semi-gloss same as the air cleaner.1 point

James, Been there, done that. As Doug says, it's fairly easy, even easier on the front because you only have to locate and drill one hole for each guard. I installed re-chromed guards on my stock '70 bumpers and then re-installed the front guards on a new front bumper later using exactly the same procedure. Of course, I had the mount the new front bumper first. If you want to drill the hole before you mount the new bumper, you can locate the hole using relative measurements from your original bumper. The hardest part is convincing yourself to drill into a brand new shiny bumper. Basically, with the new bumper already mounted, you just partially attach the front guards with the lower bolt in the hole provided on the bottom edge of all front bumpers, align them vertically with a carpenter's square or level and mark the bumper on both sides of the guard. The horizontal location of the hole will be exactly in the middle of those two marks (see photos below). The vertical location of the hole is easy if you first make a cardboard template by tracing the inside edge of the guard and marking the location of the upper mounting hole on the template, then hold the template on the bumper at the horizontal location and transfer the vertical dimension onto the bumper (see photos below). After drilling the hole, it may need to be de-burred and the edges should be protected from rusting with durable paint before final assembly. Good luck.1 point
