  1. This is the one that is owned by Richard, from Brooklyn at the time. He now resides in Staten Island and still owned it.

  2. Had breakfast with my Dad and my second favorite mechanic yesterday. I’ve previously mentioned that Terry had owned a ‘71 SS that he sold many years ago, but he’s still finding various parts, memorabilia and literature etc. Yesterday he gave me a few “Super Chevys” magazines from ‘84 and ‘85. Attached are some pix and Monte-related articles… can you find the two unicorns? 🤣😂 Hint: one’s “down under” and one’s pulling the front tires off the ground. There’s a nice 2 page article on the ‘71 SS which appears on the cover of the July 1985 edition of Super Chevys “Chevy Show Place” Looks exactly like Dennis’, minus the bananas in the tailpipes And I’m definitely curious… were some of the owners as listed 40 years ago ever FGMCC members? Are these folks still alive? Are any of the Montes still around under different ownership? Perhaps some of you senior FGMCC members might know of these folks and cars.

  3. We are now less than 2 months away. It seems like only yesterday that we were in the 90's. Today marks SIX-ZERO (60) days and a wake-up before our members start arriving in Carlisle. Tomorrow we will enter a new decade of days when we enter the 50's in our countdown. rob

  10. Glen, Thanks for posting that. I checked the names i saw to a very old membership listing I have and did not find any of those names. My old listing may not be complete but again, that publication was from at least 15 years before the club was founded. rob

  11. Here’s the entire February 1984 issue of “Super Chevys Limited, dedicated to our First Gens. Since the pictures likely won’t load sequentially, I made sure the page numbers are visible. The color photos are the covers. Enjoy…

  12. I can't remember which member I got my brackets from but he had them powder coated along with a bunch of other parts he kept. Too bad they don't show once installed! 😄
