  1. Hi guys, it's been a long time but i'm trying to make a come back!!! And I'm sure I'm posting this in the wrong place. I'm so not computer friendly when it comes to this stuff but my signature image is missing and I don't know how to get it back. I went into the signature area and still can't figure it out. Any other message board I've been on has a place to simply "upload" your pic and your done. The instructions here are still from 2003!!!! So there must be an easier way if someone could help me, that would be great!! Thanks, Steve
  2. Restored my windshield wiper motor and pump.... Not really sure why, haven't used my wipers since 2008....lol
  3. Typically the orange wire is for accessories such as power windows, power door locks, power seat. The pink accessories wire are for the lighter things such as a power trunk release. You can always stop by Willie and check out mine. I have all those toys in mine.
  4. Black 71 SS's were gloss black, all other colors were a satin black. Steve
  5. I'd swap the gas cap. Sounds like your getting way too much pressure. I hear the locking gas caps vent better.
  6. I used the reproduction plastic chrome ones on mine. They've been on for over 5 years and still look perfect.
  7. Most new radios have a USB port.... That would solve your issue. I have mine mounted in the glove box and the cord going into my ash tray so I can plug my phone in and lay it in the ashtray. You'll also now have all your music handy. A decent radio is under $150 with these options. Now you have an excuse to update your radio too
  8. I would think any glass place should have them. My neighbor worked for a glass company and gave me a hand full.
  9. Replaced the differential fluid.... Hard to believe that I've put 10,000 miles on it and most not so easy.... Lol. It truly is a driver!!
  10. Replaced the rear brake lines with stainless steel ones, replaced the rubber hose from the frame to the differential and detailed the rear itself.
  11. Hey Rob, Nice work! I maybe a little late to the party here but I find a bit of "hand glaze" on the clear plastic brings them back real nice. I've even taken the clear plastic off by melting the tabs that hold them to do the inside as well. Then you can re melt the tabs to put it back on.
  12. I've done that swap in the past.... It's a nice change. To cover the original space in the window lace you can get a rear window lace and cut it down to the length of the front piece. This way there are no seams, it's one continuous piece that looks factory.
  13. Kenwood part number KFC-4675C, they are 60watt speakers. I've installed them a half dozen times. You can modify the original bracket to clear the magnet and then make some small "L" brackets to mount them. The key here is they are the only speakers that I've found that fit on the left side to clear the gauge cluster. On the right side you can almost fit a 6x9....lol Steve
  14. Looks great!!!! Love the body tilter.
  15. Brian, It's more than likely cracking at the seam because who ever did the work didn't remove the original lead in the seam before using bondo over it. Bondo doesn't hold well to lead. All the lead needs to come out first and then the seam refinished. If your going to do that repair yourself make sure your well ventialted...breathing lead is a big no, no...... But the lead comes out relatively easy with a small propane torch to heat it up and then wipe it away with a rag. My 2 cents, Steve
  16. Congrats!!!!..... Another confirmed 1971 SS454!!!!! Steve
  17. All very cool....I like the gold one best! Steve
  18. Congrat's on your Monte.....the dent sucks but can be fixed.... Good luck with it! Steve
  19. Wow!!! That's totally sweet!!!!! Congrats!!!! Looks fantastic with wheels up!!! Steve
  20. I've never seen a legitimate right side sport mirror on a Monte..... just saying.... Steve
  21. I'm in for one depending on the price.... Steve
  22. All progress is good!!!! But your pic needs to be turned 90 degrees.....lol Steve
  23. Looks great...but just redo the silver on the outter edge... it's suppose to be black inside the gauge cones. Steve
  24. I read it and liked it too...it was nice to see an article that had correct information....but I did note the 200 member thing...... Steve
