  1. Did yo replace the fuel filter ?? Could be a partial blockage, or dirty jets in the carb.
  2. Good Ghostbuster's candidate at the beginning of the video....
  3. Depends on how strong (and how much you're willing to spend) you get your th350 built to.... If you're getting a complete hi torque/heavy duty re build and adding a good cooling system to the transmission, it could last a long time providing you don't abuse it.
  4. I'd consider "Big Orange" the nicer of the two..... Especially considering it didn't take a team of techs and a barrel of cash to build her. The personal connection of doing yourself adds so much.
  5. Agreed..... If you're going the factory stock way. But with all the aftermarket versions and having multiple settings on these pieces, it becomes a matter of finding what feels comfortable.
  6. Spring tension is a matter of preference...... As long as it's got a close length,(depending on which configuration you use), the feel of the pedal resistance will /can be what makes you decide what you like. P.S. The more springs you add, the more the resistance as well.
  7. Grit in the carb might do this too..... I'd been driving on a lot of dusty roads in a work truck years ago, and when I got back to the highway and opened up on the throttle, it stuck and scared the s*** out of me. Had to shut it down in neutral to get control of it. Cleaned up the carb, but it was never the same after that.
  8. Have you looked on any of the Chevelle/El Camino sites ??? There might be someone with one there.
  9. My favourite dressing is ranch..... Goes good with wings, dry ribs, and veggies. Not sure if it pairs well with tires, though.
  10. Like socks and underwear ??? lol
  11. Car cover in her near future ???
  12. And the one day.... When the Missus agrees...... You can look into a fuel injection system. (Just to keep your hands dirty) LOL
  13. Yeah, all those dry seals inside are not going to hold much. Best to fill the carb and let the rubber soak up a bit.
  14. OPGI has the small block one.... Metal tube.
  15. I believe it's called a "heat riser tube".... Small blocks are bent pipe, big blocks use dryer vent piping.
  16. How's the grease in the bearings ??
  17. That's why car makers in the past used to leave extra hose under the hood..... Just in case there was a roadside emergency.
  18. And now for your next mission..... The reflection in the center cap of a semi traveling down the highway. (May require someone to hold the camera.)
  19. Time to cut the end of the hose off and re attach it... Or just get a new hose.
  20. Not really, but she does keep the "critter" population in check.
  21. Bet my cat could kick your dog's butt !!! lol
  22. For those who are into colour matching, there's always the popular "pool noodle" as well.
  23. Alpine (as many others) make an amp small enough to mount under the dash. Makes for shorter wiring.....
  24. DIAMONDS !!! That'll get her approval rating.
