  1. A buddy of mine had one, orange with black stripes. It was a basic car, I think it had a rubber floor mat instead of carpeting.
  2. In my opinion, no. Looks great the way it is
  3. Looks great, but the last one looked good to me too. Nice job!!!
  4. I thought about registering but couldn't do it. If it's the real deal it's a good buy. I was thinking 60-70k. I hope a member bought it. The listing on barrett jackson shows it sold for 55k
  5. Yes it's a hard call. It's still a 402 4-speed but the build sheet would be the key
  6. They state it's all original in the description. I'm not sure that it is.
  7. I replaced the carpet on my door panels. I bought the lower carpets from the Parts Place which actually had the dark green carpets in stock (special order for someone else). I removed the lower moldings from the panels, removed the old carpet from the panels and then trimmed the new carpets and re-installed. Use a good 3-M trim adhesive. I also painted the black insert on the molding.
  8. Amk is great. I used the interior hardware kit. Can't go wrong
  9. Almost impossible, if you find 2 let me know
  10. Dennis, I did some research on the extra wire a while ago. What we came up with, was there is a jumper wire that goes to the idle control solenoid from that connector. Other forum members and I could never prove that the 1970 454 ever used that solenoid. Willie lent me a bracket that we thought would work for our cars. Dan Janes (overdrive) fabricated a bracket and I found a solenoid on line but it really didn't help. I have it and the harness if you need them. I hope that helps
  11. Looks like a winner, love the color
  12. The part number is 6261781. Amazon shows one but they want 9.00. Checked ebay and they show one 2.95 plus shipping. Like I posted a local dealer might have one
  13. It shouldn't be hard to find. I sold a bunch of those back in the day. Maybe check a gmc dealer they may still have one in stock
  14. This is the place where I got my speakers
  15. I had mine done by a local mechanic, do you have someone you trust?
  16. I got through the pictures, the description no way. I guess like they say, a picture is worth a thousand words. Literally
  17. I can't find a good picture of my carb, but I thought the return spring runs back to the bracket that holds the throttle cable. Something like in the one in the picture (Not a Monte)
  18. A nice way to kick off the year, great pictures and your car looks great. Happy New Year
  19. Thanks for the heads up. I dealing with a guy on ebay for a non monte parts. Says he was gone for the holidays. Buyer beware
