MC1of80
Hi everyone! This week's small progress..... Kevin painted the driveshaft and yolk, I installed new u-joints and installed into the car after installing the trans mount and cross member. Stripped down and repainted the tilt column I built for my son's Xmas gift last year that somehow got some nasty chips in it. No biggie, just another thing to do that is now done. Lol. Also sanded and painted the steel inner fenderwells.
MC1of80
Hello all! A little more forward progress. Installed the MSD distributor after installing the correct bushing and springs to hopefully get the correct timing curve. Installed a 140 amp alt with matching water pump and crank pulleys for the wide belt. Also mocked up some exhaust pipes to figure out what options to do. With the ladder bar suspension and panhard bar, going out the rear is not an option at this time.

MC1of80
Hello Monte people! This week's progress.... Car back on the ground and outside for some sun and fresh air! Lolol Reinstalled the re-refinished tilt steering column. (Makes it easier to get in and out of the garage door) lol Installed the steel inner fenderwells, front plates ( from rad support to inner fenderwells), tightened the radiator support bushing bolts, and installed the grille with a new trim parts grille emblem.

Dtret
Very nice work. It’s looking like a car again. But I have a question, why don’t you have any sort of valve cover on the engine to keep out the dust?  Just curious.

Kevin is repolishing the polished aluminum valve covers that were polished poorly. (say that 3x real fast) lolol. In the meantime we do cover the engine with a cut open garbage bag. Once the covers are done and we oil up the rockers n stuff, the covers will be installed. Lol
MC1of80
Today I opened 2 of the new harnesses and laid them out to straighten a little. The forward lamp harness and the engine harness. Installed the harnesses. No pic cause I felt a pic wouldn't show much. Also painted and reassembled another set of sport mirrors for my son's 69 GTO 400 4speed convertible. He's tired of the junk aftermarket chrome not holding their adjustments. And yes, the angle of the bases are different than the ones for our Monte Carlo .
MC1of80
Started this project last week before all the rain. Unfortunately when I painted the console and lid, there was tooooo much humidity and fogged the paint. I knew better and tried anyway. I polished all the trim, hinge, cleaned all parts while I waited for better weather. Well today was better weather! Lol. Repainted the console and reassembled everything and installed the wiring harness correctly.  Started to disassemble the shifter, clean and paint. Pic of shifter is before disassembly, cleaning and painting.

MC1of80
Hello all! ALOT of little work done. Horn relay wired and mounted, grounds to radiator support installed, dashboard disassembled and washed, modified radiator top plate sandblasted, primed and sanded 2x to remove some rust pits. New Trunk lock installed and trunk adjusted, passenger door lock assy also swapped. So we will have 2 keys instead of 4 for the car. Lol driver's door lock not done yet due to lack of room to open the door fully in the garage. Lol. Some pics....

MC1of80
ALOT of sanding and priming on the radiator top plate to smooth everything out. Hopefully final paint this week after the rain stops. Shifter all cleaned, lubed and reassembled except for Dan's (overdrive) shift plate. I put in a safe place and have not found it yet. Lolol yup.
