Leghome
Makes me wonder how many more rare editions of the bumper strip he has?
CKZ03
Good thing you got the first one Larry, his starting bid went up $100 on this one. Must be getting rarer as he sells them. Wonder how many more he has?
LostnFound
Ya...I wonder that too. Maybe he bought the mold. LOL
MC-71
There is one on ebay with a starting bid of $300. Larry is the one you bought from The Parts Place? When you get it can you post pictures of it. What was the shipping to Canada?
LostnFound
Hi Carl....it was from Joparts on Ebay and he goes by the business name Parts Man. It was $50 for shipping plus whatever duty fees they hit me with. I'm glad to get it but it is an expensive endeavor. I'm glad they're not a moving part that wears out often. Jared Richey
I bet someone has a huge stack of these things made several years ago from whoever else had the mold, just not letting the cat out of the bag.
LostnFound
Received it today. Made in the USA and still in the wrapper. It is still brand new with no wear....BUT IT DAMN WELL SHOULD BE FOR THAT KIND OF MONEY!

LostnFound
The auction just ended on the one that had a starting bid of $300. There were 16 bids and it went for $432.66.
Vaughn
Don't want to pi$$ anyone off, but its a part for a one year only car. Only 1919 made and they are NOT high on the collector list of cars to buy. Â Try and buy a NOS grill!!!!!!!! Â I for one am glad that someone made repops years ago or the prices would be even higher or part not available at all. The market dictates the price. I do not think $400.00 is out of line. LostnFound
That's why I went ahead and paid $400 for one Vaughan. The guy considering reproducing them (has the mold for it now) will probably want that many $$$ at least anyway and there's no commitment on his part currently that he will be going ahead. My last communication with him was over a month ago and he was still "considering it". If he runs off 50 (why would he do more than that when it is a 1 year specific part) it has to be worth his while. It's a business and he'll make what profit on it he can. It just hurts paying that much but like I said before....at least it isn't a moving part that wears out fast.
Murphy
Don't want to hijack this post or anything but is the metal mounting bracket worth anything? I saw a rear bumper for sale on CL today in another state and could see what looked like a metal stip with the rubber torn off. Maybe it's not a metal strip and only part of the rubber that I saw???? Jared Richey
I'm just glad I prefer Rear Bumper Guards.
First Knight
Bumper Guards are alright but I prefer a bumper without them. No wrong answer.
LostnFound
I think I had better sell my rear bumper guards to help pay for the rubber strip.....$1,000,000.....anyone interested?
