CKZ03
Clock? what clock? is there a deadline, how many days aaaahhhhh  Got a few things done today, put in all new locks & got the door glass, power window regulators, & the rest of the door guts in. Moving right along with only a few pesky (is that a word?) things fighting with me. Glass is looking good

CKZ03
Pedal fast Cory !!! Â Im not stressin' yet CK, still got a ways to go yet though. Â I will be working on her all day today, starting with the headliner & moving on to "other" things. Hope to knock out alot today. Â Didnt get a thing done on her yesterday, the wife shut me down & demanded I get a least one of our boats in the lake. Spent most of the day doing lake chores, including getting this all cleaned up, still dirty in pics. Everyone should have one of these, 300hp fuel injected 350 MAG triple 'toon with 4 inch pipes hanging out the back. Â Â Â
CKZ03
Got the headliner & package tray installed, currenty still putting stuff on headliner/roof interior etc. Took a break for a minute to eat dinner & post some pics, will go going at it till 4 am or I fall down whatever comes first  good picture of Gary my healiner guys feet, hes a little camera shy. Great guy coming out & helping me on a holiday weekend, hardly drank any beer & didnt even charge me double  Some things should just be left to professionals, I dont have a clue how to install a headliner, well now I do

CKZ03
Yep, Gary is a great guy, did my seats for me a month or so ago, got him lined up to do the headliner and hes coming back to do the carpet & some other stuff for me too. Best thing is he's mobile & comes to you, awesome. My ace in the hole  Todays intinerary includes installing the roof rail trim & weather strips, installing belt moldings & felts and adjusting the quarter & door glass properly & whatever else I can squeeze in. CKZ03
Thanks DJ, its been quite a experience, getting close to the end Love the blue paint on your car, looks fantastic. She will look great when you get her done. Â Not much exciting so far this week as far as progress. Seems like I have done nothing at all, but yet have put in many hours. I Dont really even have any good pics to show you guys . Got my door & quarter glass adjusted properly, put some seals in, fought with some inferior window felts, put some trim on. Was buttoning up the quarter glass stops & adjustments so I can move on to installing carpet & rear seats & rear inner panels. Had a catastrope yesterday, one of my qtr glass rollers broke while adjusting, it was the last window I was messing with & I was just about done when I heard a loud pop, then saw the roller had busted in two. Pretty devistating, anyone that has ever installed all the quarter window guts & spent hours adjusting things would know. This is a bad thing especially after all the seals & headliner are in, the quarter glass essentially can not be removed without partially removing some of the headliner/sail panel. Fortunetly I was able to change out the roller with the glass still in the car, but was a time consuming deal for sure. Â Been hotter than around here lately, I dont usually work on cars in my barn this time of year, but because I have a deadline to meet, I must press on. Should have just installed an air conditioning unit but I really dont see myself doing much summer work out here so I installed this baby in a window. Â Â Â And some of you may have heard me complaining this week about window felts in a different post. I think Im just going to give up on the whole belt reveal molding thing and came up with an attractive alternative, duct tape & no window felts, cheap & attractive. Almost looks like chrome, dont you think? Â
Leghome
Go for it Cory. It is your car and IF YOU THINK it looks good it does. LOL LOL LOL
CKZ03
OK Larry I scraped the duct tape idea and actually put my belt moldings on, the duct tape just wasnt shiney enough Yeah I know the car looks awful, all kinds of dust & debris on the paint right now, but hey its work in progress...   Put the drip rail moldings on too   I wasnt real sure what went on first, the jute or the board for the trunk divider I figured if the board went on first it likely might create a rattle vibrating on the metal structure. I didnt like the look of the jute showing in my trunk either, not very pretty, so I cut and glued a piece of black felt to the jute first, then put it all in. Dont mind the trunk its a little dusty & dirty right now, so is the car, things are kinda ugly at the moment.   Started putting down the TAR PAPER and some insulation, im putting the tar paper down first then going over it with a poor mans dynamat substitute . Prepping for carpet install on Sunday, still have more Po' man dynamat to install before carpet goes in but heres the start of it.  Cant squeeze this pic in for some reason, think I hit my pic max in this post.
Leghome
All I have behind my rear seat is a pc of cardboard. I guess I better get something more substantial and more sound deadening one of these days. I Also need to get me a new outside mirror for the drivers side. I bought two Taiwan mirrors last year and one of the will not stay in position. Hit s bump in the road and it readjusts itself. I need to find that thread on mirrors from a couple of weeks ago and see which one are working best. Your car is looking fantastic.
Sam (Bones)
Lutty's Chevy sell mirrors made in the U.S.A. that they "say" are way better  I just ordered a set for my 4 speed, they are $45 each and comes with gasket and mounting hardware
CKZ03
finished up the poor mans dynamat today & got the carpet installed. Im certainly no expert carpet guy, got some help from my interior guy Gary. Looks good to me, I wouldnt know a bad carpet job from a good one Never stared at anyone's carpet long enough to critique it or even care what it looked like, ITS CARPET! CKZ03
Seemed like a very non productive evening, almost like I accomplished nothing cleaned up my seatbelts not very rewarding but necessary. Took steel wool to the stainless & chrome to clean those parts of them up. Power washed & scrubbed the webbing /fabric with a stiff plastic bristled scrub brush. What I really needed was some oxy-clean with its miraculous cleaning power .Came out as nice as any 41 year old seatbelt could, not really worthy of posting a pic though. CKZ03
Last few days have been pretty boring with what seems like almost no productivity, but working on the things Ive been putting off for forever. Cleaning up parts Im forced to re use, sifting through used parts & deciding which ones to use, reconditoning whats going on the car, putting on some seals, doing some detailing along the way, etc.  Heres the gratuatis seatbelt shot, a few of them anyway. Power washed, scrubbed with a tire brush, etc.   Sifting thru some good used parts for the best of the best. Anyone need some taillights?   Lucky enough to have a very nice pair of 71/72 reverse lenses   Finally wiring up my Klassic Keyless system & fitting "assembled door panels" tomorrow, oh boy heard horror stories about these door panels , cant wait. Anyhow found a nice zip tie to fasten some wires into pre existing holes on inner door shell to make things nice & clean looking for the Klassic Keyless wiring, sorry Tom Im modifying your kit a little. So far the Klassic Keyless stuff has been a breeze to install. I DIDNT HAVE TO TAKE ANYTHING APART TO DO IT! Everything fits great and am totally satified so far with it, yet to power everything up.  Heres some nice zip ties to use for this, push in end goes right into existing holes.   A few pics of how I ran the wiring
