  4. I drove two hours, 130+ miles one way, and spent $15 in tolls to get to this show…and I’d do it again. 500+ cars, a well run show, and a great shaded location. No glamour shots of my car 😂 got excited and forgot. The interesting part of the drive… The meetup for the drive in to the show

  8. The interior was reupholstered in 1973 from fabric to vinyl because the fabric absorbed the cigarette smoke too much... haha.. absolutely beautiful work too. well 49 years later the seat finally let go.. instead of seeing foam poking through I got to see this..

  9. We just got back from a 15 day road trip through the Western US and spent a night in Petaluma, CA where much of American Graffiti was filmed. I took a few photos for fun. We did see several other filming locations that we didn’t take pictures of. This is still a used car lot. The same sign is there too. Here’s where the police car lots its rear end. A different angle but you can see the theatre sign. Here’s the liquor store which is now a bait and tackle shop. This is the “ICE” machine from the movie by the liquor store. I was surprised it was still there.

  10. Details for the weekend: Friday: DAY - I will be available all day Friday so feel free to contact me when you are in town. No specific plans for this day but we can wash cars, cruise along the beach, etc. EVENING - We'll likely spend the rest of the evening in the Motel parking lot/pool area. Saturday: CAR SHOW - We will be rolling out of the Rosedale Motel at 7:30 for the car show. The hotel is only a few blocks away from the park if you wish to walk back to the hotel for any reason. We will have 6 first gen Monte Carlos in our group and there will be a few other first gen owners around also. The car show will end at roughly 4pm. DINNER - April and I will be hosting a BBQ at the house starting at 5pm. Sunday: CRUISE - We will leave the Rosedale Motel at 10am. The first stop we will have an extended stay of up to 2 hours at a very nice property with a private car collection. Everyone should bring their own lunch in a cooler. Note that you can have a beer or two on this property if you wish. We will continue on the cruise and make short stops for some viewpoints and ice cream along the way. I plan to be back to the Motel no later than 4pm. EVENING - We'll likely spend the rest of the evening in the Motel parking lot/pool area. If you need my cell number please send me a message.

  15. I spent some time in Petaluma after getting out of the USAF, had a girlfriend from there. Nice area from what I remember, but never knew the movie was done there.

  21. I liked the show when Christy Lee was on it. Maybe it was the blond hair & big...eyes.

  22. If you want reliability, of which, I can't complain about Holley, go with the Edelbrock but know you will be leaving alot of power on the table.

  23. Holley, when I was using carbs. Did put a couple of Edelbrocks on customer cars over the years, seemed to work good. Still, Holley 95% of the time.
