  1. Hi James. Thanks for the note, super interesting stuff. Check out this shot of my build sheet. Again, I am learning so much so fast...appears to me it is not a custom but was ordered with a few of the custom options (lighting package and steering wheel). -Bill

  2. It came with all the documentation. Yeah, good call on framing it, mine looks good but it feels like just a slight breeze would turn it into dust. -Bill

  6. lol My 70 restoration project or parts for sale or Dennis your a stupid idiot So here goes. Thursday after work (I got done at 11 am) I drove to Maryland and bought a 70 ss. Number matching engine and transmission ( don’t know about rear yet) Flint built. I have not been to sleep yet so I’m on 35 hours straight. Here are the pictures. Let me know. The guy I bought it from was talking about parting it out even though he really liked the car. Just too much work with his time constraints. It sat in a field for a minimum of 10 to 15 years. Previous owners pulled the black vinyl top off and pulled some parts of the engine. It will be interesting to say the least. But it looks basically unmolested. All ss parts are still on the car. Lots of pictures, it’s like a bad dream.

  7. My girlfriend Lisa is out in Utah for the retirement ceremony of her son from the United States Air Force. He has served our country for 20 years and is retiring as a master Sargent. The ceremony is today at Hill AFB. she is so proud of him and rightfully so he is a fine young man.

  8. Well, 15yrs here at FGMCC came real quick. I have been absent from here for a bit and like most jumped to our group and others on FB, But I will be missing from all for quite some time now. I have sold my 71 Monte and she is going to a Member down in Jared's neck of the woods, Geno Keller has bought it and it will be headed his way in a bit. Yes I have had my fair share of monte carlos, from 402-4spds to SS and even the convertable. but most know of my ongoing health issues, well my 24yr old son that has some brain damage from epilepsy and is autistic was just diagnosed with Lupus. he has suffered a fair bit this last 4 months and hair loss as well, so I sold the Monte and will focus on Brady and get his needs sorted out with the funds. I sure hope I still get my 15yr badge though ? hahaha so for now its goodbye but hope to see what the future brings monte wise.... Hope I was of some value to the group with some knowledge and also not a Pain in the [censored].... Yes I said a bad... Thanks to my Monte Family here and to Rob and Aaron for what you do with the meets and Bob and past members like Caps and Andreas and scooter........ Larry and Ert and Bones, I am keeping an eye on you guys hahahaha Darren LS5

  10. Crutchfield has good stuff and good customer service. If your using the aux plug for something like a thumb/flash drive read the specs, make sure your compatible with 2.0 or 3.0. Some don't play well with others 🙃

  11. Thx for the info and comments. I'm probably going with something from Crutchfield. Aux plug or Bluetooth.

  12. Steve G, Good old Triumph TR I had one for a short time from my older brother to restore and sell back and now it is his son's 1963 TR-3B. So much fun! Here is a picture of it from Sept 2022 after it's second restoration.

  15. Retiring as a Master Sgt with 20 years is quite an accomplishment. He should have a very nice retirement benefit plus free medical and will still be young enough to pursue a second career and pension elsewhere... Thanks to him for his service. rob

  18. Just putting this out there for anyone who's reading this that's never been to a FGMCC meet, you won't be disappointed. And as its been said before you don't have to bring your Monte to attend. Ive been to 2 without mine and had a blast. Hopefully this year I'll have mine in tow
