  2. The attendance for this meet looks great! We may get 30+ Monte Carlos and possibly set a new attendance record for a Western Meet. We already have 7 states and 2 provinces represented and likely to add 2 or 3 more. 18 rooms are booked at the hotel.

  5. I’ll say that I’m sorry, ahead of time. Now that I pointed them out you’re going to snag them every time. And blame me. Lol. Better wear gloves.

  8. For the rear most trim, fit it up into position where it sits the best, and the bottom attachment points look good. Then, I'd probably run a tape line horizontally across the top where the trim edge falls, on the car body. Take the trim off, lay it face down on a soft surface & set those triangle clips in place on the trim where they belong. Measure from the top edge of the trim, to the clip attachment hole. Then, go to the car and measure down, from the edge of the tape you placed on the car earlier. Drill holes in your car at the 3 attachment points for those clips, and install.

  9. Here’s the hole locations on the rear quarter. Blow it up and you’ll see the toothpicks sticking out.

  10. The six v shaped ones go on the piece behind the rear tire ( 3 per side) they lock the top of the trim tight to the body and it’s get screwed on the bottom. See pictures ( two of three one in top center also).

  12. Some pictures from the 2023 Pittsburgh World of Wheels... Not one First Generation Monte Carlo anywhere to be seen. So Sad. I took some club business cards but none were distributed. I wore one of my FGMCC T-Shirts and FGMCC Jacket and still no bites... Oh Well, we know how special we are, don't we? rob

  17. There are the ones behind the door. That will account for six ( 3 per side) I think the other 6 ( 3 per side) go on the fender, not sure. This one also has a hole in the door jamb for a screw that you will need to drill

  18. Those six bottom clips hold on the molding behind the rear wheels. You put them on the car and slip the molding down onto them and screw the molding tot he bottom of Quarter panel

  19. An angle grinder with a wire wheel or cup brush would be my suggestion. A drill/brush isn't going to be powerful enough to remove all the surface debris to expose the spot welds. If you get it down to the metal, those spot welds should pop right out to you. Sand blaster would work too, but may leave it all looking uniform. Going over it with the wire brush may polish it up enough to highlight the spot welds a little better
