Saw this one tonight at the weekly Wurlitzer factory cruise night. Second owner car (he picked it up a week ago actually), 21K miles, 350/250 hp, originally purchased at a local dealer from a salesman that eventually went on to became one of the larger dealers here. All the documentation such as protect-o-plate, invoice, sales tags, etc. I talked to Matt for a bit & gave him the info to join here. He did happen to mention that he may be selling the car, but no firm decision, or mention of cost.

I got excited when I saw the engine poking out on the orange car till I realized it was a Nova 🤣

Blue is never wrong, when I was looking for mine I was looking for a 70 (first year) or a 72 (the year I graduated from high school) I ended up with a brown 71. It didn't stay brown for long 😅

I have only seen 3 or 4 "Son Of A Critch" TV shows (Show is set in Canada in the 1980's) and today watching one from Christmas, there was a 71 Monte in it. I noticed a different tall hood ornament and wider rally wheels. I think it was a med dark bronze color. The Uncle told his 15 year old nephew he would sell it to him after the kid gave him a $1,000 deposit. SCAM...

You'll regret not taking any trim off that lays against the paint.

Saw only one first gen at the show yesterday. The owner was not around. Yes, I did leave a club card in the car, hopefully he'll call me to join up.

If you remove the rubber bump stop that the window mechanism sits on, it will allow you to lower the window about another 1/2” to expose the felt mounting screws a little better. Be careful not to go too far or the guide rollers will come out of the guide channel. Not the end of the world, just a little finagling to get them back in.

I went to that show with my brother one year, neither of us had our cars and parking there is really bad had to walk quite a ways but was a good show. Nice monte turn out.

Just got done with half staffing our flags at my work. A moment of silence followed. I go on a motorcycle ride to every year to follow up the day. It's a good day to see the sun is out for the ride. Never forget.

I finally got to fix the speed sensor and took it out for a few miles. Didn't go too far because the inner fenders aren't bolted to the fender lip, only on the ends and on top. No pictures because it's in spotty primer, so that'll be next.
