Capri's 71 SS
Those are looking great Aaron! I would think more patience older than as a teen. Greg has some he did as a teen - his mom used to display them. It's a nice way to "chill" during the long cold winter

cny first gen 71
I got my grandson his first model for Christmas, we will work on it together and see how he does. He's 9 now it's about time to get him interested in cars 😊 although he does like coming to car shows already. Pretty sure my Monte will become his later on in life.

Canuck
I completed a 1/16 kit of Harry Gant’s 1981 Grand Prix. When I started it was just a fun project as Harry Gant decals for this size of model weren’t even made. I managed to get a seller/producer of decals to create and produce them over the winter and they finally arrived in the mail this week.

I don't remember 1/16 scale.....I did some 1/10 RC car stuff back in the day, Slixx made some nice decals 1
Canuck
My next project is a much more technical paint job with 4 colours. Here it is after paint.

All of mine are in a box somewhere 🤣 the attached is one for reference only, I did do this paint scheme along with a couple of other nascar rides. Probably the most obscure one I did was off the 2nd photo.....John Andretti's 98 decals mixed with Dale Jr's Budweiser. Nascar trivia time....1999 Daytona Bud shootout, Cale Yarborough Motorsports has and entry, and Dale Jr doesn't. CYM has no sponsor so Budwieser sponsored the 98 for the shootout .
stangeba
Very nice!!! I still have the 71 Camaro and the 71 Monte I built back in 71. I painted both black. It's got less than 1 mile on it and never was outside in the rain or snow but it looks rough! 2

Doing a repaint on a model is probably harder than repainting a real car 😆
Canuck
I finished Harry Gant’s 1994 Busch Series car. He got his last NASCAR win in this car at the age of 54 in his final season.
DragCat
Mr September ......Always a fan of Harry. Also followed the 33 when Ken Schrader took the wheel. Pre Monte days I had 2 skoal banners in my garage, and one or two in the house 🤣

DragCat
Nice, the Oakwood homes is a flashback . IPM made some 1/12 porcelain cars back in the day, I have a few but not the #15.. Action made a few also. They're hard to come across and like everything else these days pricey as heck.

The #15 Oakwood Homes was Schrader’s Busch series car in the late 90s. I have some #33 Oakwood Homes diecast cars that Joe Nemecheck drove too.
