Searsman Posted October 16, 2023 Share Posted October 16, 2023 3 day event in Boonesborough Ky . I was there Saturday and Sunday after returning from Tennessee trip. Only 4 first gens there, stalked but no cigar. One other one belonging to a FGMCC’ fellow member. Ronnie Johnson, first time I’ve seen his 71 SS. He had to opt out of somerset Eastern meet this year unfortunately due to engine problems. All fixed now and I must say it’s a great restoration job on the car . Grey color and just plain beautiful.. Out of 600+ registered cars , we were both at the top of the points list of our class 1998 on down.. we beat out dozens of Camaros, chevelles , fords ect. With only a few points between us. I was glad for him as this was his first competition in his 71.. Hope he get to Carlisle 24.. Got a couple pics of his grey 71. Anyway, the point is, I’m glad to see the first generation MC did so well at this show. They’re being more appreciated in this area as of late.
