Great show only two Monteās of any kind. A black 70, the owner is on the Facebook page and told him he needs to get on this site and become a member. I need to put my stalking papers back in my trunk again. We removed everything from the trunk late year and have only been to 2 or 3 shows since and with the car not running well along with wet weekends I think we have it straightened out. I need to work on m photo posting to get them in the desired configuration, every time I try to turn the iPad they keep turning sideways again8 points

Haven't been in my 40s in 20 + years I do still have an 8 track tape of the animals but no way to play it any more. But I do still listen to the 60s and 70s mostly. Have a cd player in the Monte and beach Boys cd in there now.4 points

I'm a tad past my mid 40's š¤£ and don't have 8-tracks anymore ...But I do have a stereo in the garage. I still have most of my old vinyl tho, converted my old CD's to MP3's when my Sony juke box gave up the ghost. As I posted in another thread the other day, was listening to the Hollies "The air that I breath" for a walk down memory lane š2 points

Any acknowledgment is good right? Lol. At first I thought you may be a candidate for the knucklehead award. Lol. Nice. Thanks for thinking of me.1 point

We should be seeing a listing of the club award winners soon.....unless our members, knowing that this is their last night together at bench racing are too busy mixing adult beverages. rob1 point

The power stop ones are what I used on my Monte, I used detroit axel on the truck. Both were very good quality.1 point

James, you can get the instrument cluster out to upgrade, repair or replace the clock/gauges without completely removing the dash (fortunately). But you do have to loosen and pull it toward you enough to remove the cluster from the dash housing. That is one of the things covered in the photo journal I made when I converted my idiot light instrument cluster to a stock full gauge cluster. Here's the link: Full Gauge Cluster Upgrade This is a great time to convert to LEDs if you are so inclined. That is also covered in the above photo journal. If you go to the full gauge cluster, you get to keep your clock. If it is not working, it may be possible to repair it while you have the dash apart. I found three separate problems with my non-working clock but I was able to fix all of them and the clock is still running fine after three years. Here's a link to a photo journal on repairing the dash clock: Repairing a Dash Clock Good luck.1 point

Someone here has that procedure written down very nicely. I have removed my 71 entire dash 3 times over the years but never just "leaned" it back to remove the cluster. Be careful, the plastic is brittle. I have a shifter on the column so the little wire that makes the PRND12 move is of high priority. Looks like you have a floor shifter so that may not be an issue. Here are some pictures that may help. I have a 71 with factory gauges, NO A/C, Stereo two speaker dash pad. Bruce1 point
