  1. I just updated the members who have registered with me. As you can see we now have 61 members registered with me. We started with 40 rooms in our contract with the hotel. Since then they increased the rooms in our block to 50 rooms and then to 55 rooms and now they have granted us 60 rooms in our block. Even though we have 61 members registered we have a couple people with rooms at the hotel that are not in our block and we have some members who are sharing rooms with other members so we do still have some rooms remaining. If anyone is planning to attend but has not reserved a room I suggest you reserve a room before they are all gone because I don't know if we will be granted more than 60 rooms. Thanks to you all for your early registrations, it is you who are making this meet such a success!!!!!! On another note, the hotel has just finished their remodeling/updates At one point there was concern about us losing truck and trailer parking spaces in the circular driveway in front of the hotel due to them planning to build another hotel on that spare lot. I talked to the hotel General Manager today and was told that this construction has not started and will not start by the time we are there for our meet so parking and trailer parking will not be an issue. rob

  2. Just throwing this out there, with Prime its $118 for the 4 sensor system. I like the additional "heat" warning in case you have a wheel bearing issue. https://www.amazon.com/Hieha-Monitoring-Motorhome-Real-time-Temperature/dp/B0B1QJCC9V?th=1

  7. The only sounds I remember were the clanking of the wrench to loosen the bolts holding it to the bracket. Then while pointing it in the general direction of the mountain where all the local transmission towers were and slowly rotating it while my father was in front of the tv yelling “ok, that’s it, tighten it up!”

  8. Yes, I have and use a smaller system like the one listed below in Mark’s post. It’s small, inexpensive, I use a small strip of Velcro to mount it to the dashboard so I can see it while driving and remove it when wanted, it has has a built in solar panel to keep it constantly charged. A great safety tool to help monitor your trailer’s tire air pressures and temperatures while towing. I also use an infrared thermometer to check the hub bearing temperatures when I stop to fuel up, bathroom break or eat. If one is much hotter compared to the others, there is a problem. Better to find out and deal with it then, vs breaking down on the side of a highway.

  10. It’s surprising what happens when the throttle cable is connected in the proper position. The car idles. I’m able to use the original style throttle return spring. Even with simple issues. Everyone here is very helpful. You can see the throttle cable that was on the car that the sleeve had to be cut since the geometry was off. It would hang up if I didn’t cut part of that sleeve off. The new cable on the carburetor is the way it supposed to be. Thanks Bruce for the picture.

  13. Great idea Mark. CK showed me the system he uses, (different then what you linked to but same function), a year or two ago and I bought the same one for my trailer. It's peace of mind being able to keep an eye on tire pressure and temp while towing. A side note: my trailer tire pressures increase by 5+ pounds when towing.

  14. Hopefully that number will go up one I'm just waiting to get the results from the surgery on the 14. I should know by the end of the month. I'm not liking this waiting crap. Of course I see the back surgeon before that so hopefully they have better news too.

  16. Yes, I do. I checked it visually with someone pressing on the accelerator pedal and it’s almost 70° here today so I took it out for a carbon blast on a county Road and did a quarter-mile run. Runs fine.

  23. I’ve been researching bushings and have been leaning toward PSTs Polygraphite. They still have to be lubed, but according to PST they are less prone to squeaking than polyurethane. Does anyone have any experience with them? I’ve also checked Ridetechs Delrin bushings that don’t require any lubrication. Unfortunately because they don’t make them in the oval style, I’d need to change my lower control arms to the round type and I really don’t want to. Opinions welcome. Thank You. By the way Joe, I’m going with the Bilsteins. I see some carry them in black.

  24. Update, I did take the backing plate off. But Im not going any further. Too much effort and It was definitely weeping from that Spot in the pictures. I took Joe T's advice and called Edelbrock. I was sent to the warranty department and sent pictures. The manager saw the pictures and said if I had the original purchase Receipt they might be able to help me out. Couldn't find the receipt with my others and summit online didn't go back that far. I asked my wife to check Amazonin case I had her get it from there... Such Luck !!!! she found the receipt !!!!!! The only one thing I didn't realize. I purchased it in 2012 for $220.00. Holy Crap 12 years ago !!!! Time Flies. I sent it anyway and they called me. Said they'd like to help but it being 12 years ago I purchased it they couldn't replace it for free. But because it appeared to be a flaw in the casting if I got another one they would give me $100.00 off and no shipping so I ordered a new water pump from them for $277.66 Thank You everyone !!!

  25. Yes they came with the car and has bucket seats. Long story but the car was totally disassembled 5 years ago by a some jerk who was to do a restoration. After money guns and lawyers were involved the care was moved to another shop that did not want to complete the resto because they did not disassemble it. So the they completed most of the work but the interior came back in boxes. We did determine the small belt buckles are the front lap belts and we have a complete set. Thanks to all who replied!!!

  38. For my 71 bench seat Monte I ordered the optional AK1 Custom Deluxe Belts I have much smaller buckles for the driver and ft passenger lap belts and they are, "self adjusting" I believe this option also included the "Not in use holders" for the unused belts, as in this picture:

  41. Connect the wire to the Door Switch (found under & alongside) Glove Box passenger side. Make the connection to the same feed that powers behind the Door Switch so that Lights come on when door opened and off when door closed. Lay down on passenger side floor and look up behind door switch where you will see where to connect & same on driver side. Can't remember if it has a lone post or simply connected on one post. Limited space made it somewhat difficult to get hand up there. Guess you could remove or drop glove box for easier access but don't know if more work following that method. Been several years since I did this. Doug

  44. I also recently replaced the PCB on my '71 Monte. All the lights work, turn signals and such. As others have mentioned the fuel gauge and temp gauges do not work. The temp gauge pins out and the fuel gauge does not move. At first, if I banged on the dash, they connected and worked. This was an intermittent fix and is no longer effective. That made me think I had a loose connection. I took the nuts and washers off both and reconnected them thinking they were loose and still they do not work. I am guessing the ground is good or the lights and such would not work. I replaced the PCB because over time working on the dash it was physically damaged at the voltage meter and that light point. By the way I installed all new LED bulbs, and it looks great at night. As anyone knows that has worked on this issue, it is a royal pain taking the dash and gauge cluster apart. Also, the PCB is fairly fragile, and I don't want to damage it. In the vernacular, "it ain't cheap". I appreciate the long explanation MCFAN and will try each step and let you know if I am successful getting both gauges working.
