420ponies
I use Valvoline Racing oil because it has Zinc in it for my hydraulic camshaft. I'm running 20-50 ,little more clearance on crankshaft and rods.
Leghome
My engine rebuilder recommended Valvoline10W40 when I got the engine back so I now use heavy duty Valvoline 10W 40Â

Dtret
I buy the 2-3 dollar a quart stuff from the local Walmarts. It still runs, so I guess it works good. 1

EVC
Sammy,  I used up my stock of the 10/30 version, but changed to the 10/40 as well… Great stuff. Not to brag , but I'm proud to say I have over 400,000 miles of seat time behind the wheel of the 1970 Monte Carlo and I can feel and hear the difference that various oils make.  BTW, Hank has 10,000 mile of Monte time and agrees. Ed C.
