Nothing special about this Monte. No SS, no rare options just a super sweet car to drive and take me back to the good old days!

Sounds like you had a nice turnout.  Really sorry that I was not able to be there but I had mechanical failure on my tow vehicle in Myrtle Beach.  Hopefully I can make it next year.

Congratulations for all of those that won awards :)

Steve Myrtle Beach is a long ways off from Hiwassee. I know I have been to both but not in the same year

Yes, I know.  I have a very good friend who lives in Myrtle Beach that I was planning to take to the meet with me so I went there first to pick him up.  This friend and I grew up together and he and I owned the same Monte Carlo while in high school...we traded the car back and forth for about four years.

Anyway, despite not being geographically close, he and I have remained very close over the years.  Over the last couple of years my friend has developed a blood disease and is just generally in bad health.  I knew he would enjoy this meet as much as me so I wanted to take him with me.

The plan was to drive down to his place Tuesday, hang out with him and his wife for a couple days then drive on down to Hiawassee Thursday.  Unfortunately, as I said, I had some trouble with my truck.  It was nothing serious but I had to order a part to fix it and I did not get it until Friday afternoon so I was unable to make the second part of the trip.

Yes, people who attended the meet should be posting them here too so we can all share in the experience. :) I hunted some EM photos down on FB and posted on our FB page since none of the EM attendees have that access to do so. I can certainly do it here on the message board if needed but usually the EM attendees do it.

Just simply saying they're on FB does not help the people that don't do FB or are not FB friends with the person who posted them. This results in only a few being able to see photos which is not inclusive of all the people in the club here in the message board.

:hijack:

It seems this post has been hijacked so to that I say!!!!

CONGRATS TO THE WINNERS!!!!

I think Jared said his mom or grandmother took a lot of good pictures of the awards.  I know in the posted agenda Jared posted a time the members pictures would be taken with their cars so I suspect he has those pictures.  It is normal to get pictures of all of the members with and without their cars, not only so the pictures can be placed on the award plaques but also so they can be posted here.  Yes, Jared posted many pictures on fb so I suspect he will be posting them here very soon.

After All, all of us know here at the First Generation Monte Carlo Club "No Pictures Here Means It Didn't Happen", Right????
